Stroll through the ruins of Teotihuacan, one of the most jaw-dropping experiences you can have in Mexico and see the power of the Aztec empire. Admire the Sun Pyramid which is the largest in Mesoamerica with more than 200 feet tall. Along with a trip to the Pyramid of the Moon, you’ll learn from an expert local guide about the origins of this religious city.
Have free time to explore your favorite spots, and take amazing pictures.
Then you’ll visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In this 18th-century shrine, you’ll see a cloak with the image of Guadalupe as you learn about her significance to the culture and people of modern Mexico.
The day also includes a visit to Tlatelolco. You’ll learn about their history, including human sacrifices, mass graves, and the so-called Lovers of Tlatelolco.

What To Expect
Zona Arqueologica Tlatelolco
After meeting your guide in Mexico City, you will drive to Tlatelolco, today the largest archaeological site in Mexico City. Here, you'll learn about this important site, which was part of the capital of the Aztec empire and where the biggest market of that empire stood. You will see Plaza of the Three Cultures where the Prehispanic, colonial and modern Mexico get together.
Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe
You will head to the Shrine of Guadalupe (Basilica de Guadalupe). This is the most important religious building in all of Mexico and one of the most visited places in the Catholic world, annually receiving more than 20 million pilgrims.

Great trip, but a few tourist traps

4.00Lots of pros on this trip -- well organized, safe driving, good communication. The sites were amazing, and Sal and Alex did a nice job answering questions and sharing their insights. The market, spirit tasting and lunch were all drawbacks for me, though. The food was overpriced, and just ok. At lunch they reminded us that while food was paid for, drinks and tips were not. It felt a bit like a tourist trap, which is a shame given how many amazing options there are in and around. I had a great day in total though!

5.00This was a fantastic tour, with excellent coordination and communication. Sal and Alex did a great job. The program could have been more interactive and informative. Additionally, since they had to present the entire tour in both Spanish and English, the attention was somewhat divided.
