Pit 3 : The smallest , believed to be high command headquarters . It contains high --ranking officers , a war chariot and fewer soldiers .It layout suggests it was the command post . 2 .The Actual Archaeological Works in Progress A key part of the visit is seeing that this is an active dig site . In Pits 1 , 2 , you can watch archaeologists at work , painstakingly cleaning and reassembling fragments .You see the process of discovery in real time . Visiting Pit 1 -- Pit 2 -- Pit 3 .

Emperor QinShiHuang's Mausoleum , here's a breakdown of what you can experience : 1 : The Unexcavated Tomb Mound of Emperor QinShiHuang : The reason for the entire army .The pyramid --shaped buried mound of the First Emperor is visible in distance .
