We visited Colonial Gate 4D Cinema in Santo Domingo with our guide, Kelving Castillo, and loved the experience! The 4D film on the city’s history was immersive and fun, with realistic effects (movements, wind, water) that plunged us into action. The place is well located in the Colonial Zona and the staff is very welcoming. An original activity that allows you to learn while having fun. We highly recommend!

The 4D session was very interesting and allows a better understanding of the history of Santo Domingo and more broadly of the Dominican Republic. Too bad this activity comes a little late as part of the excursion we had booked. Before, it would have been more informative and would have allowed us to immerse ourselves properly. The staff is nice, the place clean.

Excellent service they waited for us and called us when we were running late . They also out of curtesy let us watch a second video. Our only complaint is that we wised it was longer.

Great experience from start to finish. The staff explained the 2 movies and some of the history behind Sir Francis Drakes Pirate attack on Santo Domingo. The 4D effects were lots of fun. The second movie about the Great Wall were more like a roller coaster ride, buts lots of fun as you took a Rikshaw ride down the wall in different seasons, with exploding fireworks. Well worth the time.

We did the 4D experience during a recent visit to Santo Domingo’s Zona Colonial — and we loved it! We were not sure what to expect, but it turned out to be great fun and thoroughly enjoyable. An immersive experience with great audio, visual and other special effects (the seats move during the rumble of the battle!), the film at the center of the experience is also an interesting retelling of Sir Francis Drake’s 1586 attack on Santo Domingo. And no sooner was that film done when we were plunged into a second film that had us on a virtual roller coaster ride on the Great Wall of China that was pure fun!
