I had such an incredible experience on the Jinja day trip from Kampala, and I can’t recommend it enough! My guide, Nasser, was absolutely amazing—professional, friendly, and super knowledgeable. He picked me up early in the morning, and we kicked off the day with a stop at Sebwa Falls, which was such a peaceful and beautiful way to start the trip. From there, we drove to Jinja for a full day of adventure. One thing I really appreciated was that Nasser helped organize everything seamlessly. He arranged my white water rafting experience, where I joined a group, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip—so fun and well-coordinated. Right after rafting, we went straight into bungee jumping, which was such an adrenaline rush! Everything was well-paced, and I never felt rushed or stressed—just excited the entire time. To wind down, we did a boat tour on the Nile to the official Source of the Nile. That experience was truly special. The views were beautiful, and getting a certificate to mark the moment made it even more memorable. Overall, this was a perfect mix of adventure and sightseeing, and Nasser made the entire experience smooth, safe, and enjoyable. If you’re visiting Uganda, this is definitely a must-do trip!

I did the Jinja day trip (from Kampala) with Nasser on Feb. 28. Nasser was a good guide. The program was good (Ssebwa Falls, quick drive through Jinja, the boat tour on the Nile). The boat tour to the "official" source of the Nile was great! It was a good experience and I would recommend to other travelers, whether solo or in small groups.

Our clients had a limited stay in Kampala and sought to visit the source of the Nile. An early departure was planned and off to Jinja, with our first destination being Ssezibwa falls. A pleasant surprise for our guests! The thunderous falls and the rich history of the place added to the wow moment. Jinja was calling and with the lunch hour finding us at Najjembe a roadside market with lots of street food! The barbecue chicken was amazing. Jinja had alot of offerings but given the limited time we took a boat cruise coming off at the source of the Nile and this formed the epitome of our journey! The statue of Mahatma Gandhi whose ashes were spread in the Nile was another rich part of history to share in. The drive back to Kampala was exciting and full of reflection on the experiences back in Jinja. Our recommendation is a two day, one night exploration of this city that offers more than the source of the mighty Nile river.

The tour was great visiting a beautiful waterfall and the source of Nile. Since I just visited Cairo and saw the almost end of the Nile, seeing the source was very special. Our guide, Nasser, was very knowledgeable sharing about the stories behind what we saw. Highly recommended for those who are looking to escape the busy Kampala for a day.
