Welcome to my introduction to my hometown: discover local culture while we walk amongst landmarks and try local snacks. Come hungry!
I will take you through a list of food spots that I've personally chosen. From hots to colds, solids to beverages, sweet to salty, stores & street vendors, national and local, fried to baked, fruits to meats, and everything in between while we walk amongst the city's most famous landmarks.
All tasting options are snacks. Don't be fooled, most are not small.
Our route will be the following (depending on availability):
STOP 1: plantain chips.
STOP 2: Bakery - pandebono, roscón.
STOP 3: coconut products
STOP 4: Empanadas and local fried snacks as well as lulada and champús, traditional beverages.
STOP 5: Chontaduro: regional fruit said to be aphrodisiac.
STOP 6: Raspado / Cholado - ice with fruits in different preparations.
Vegans welcome. Vegetarians welcome. Gluten-free people are welcome. Meat-lovers welcome as well! There are options for everybody.

What To Expect
We will start our Street Food Tour atop Colombia's biggest urban tunnel.
We will check out Cali's biggest public arts school and have our first official stop nearby: bakery.

5.00I grew up coming to Cali, but it was my partner's first time, and we enjoyed our tour with Juan Camilo. He was so kind and friendly- we felt an instant connection with him. Even though I knew a lot of what he was sharing, it was still great to get a local's perspective, and I even learned some new things!

5.00Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this tour but the Juan was very helpful and accommodating. He offered to provide a refund but i chose to pay for the missed activity to honor their refund policía. I took a hummingbird tour with this company that was absolutely memorizing! I booked that directly with Juan through whatsapp after signing up for this activity and don't have a way to review it through viator. That said ths hummingbird tour includes driving into the memorizing near Cali and spending time at Finca Alejandría "El Paraiso de Los Colibries". I can't recomend this highly enough.

5.00My girlfriend and I had an absolute wonderful time on this tour! Juan Camilo was extremely informative about the history of Cali and took us to some great spots to try the delicious foods. Highly recommended as you get to eat some of the best food while learning about and seeing one of the best cities!

5.00An amazing experience with Juan - we are some great local food, visiting some cool local areas. Additionally we saw some of Cali’s local sights understanding the context behind them. Juan was extremely knowledge about the Salsa culture and Colombia as a whole! The tour is great value and we would strongly recommend to anyone visiting Cali - thanks again Juan for a great time!

5.00We spent a wonderful afternoon with Juan on his Cali Street Food Tour. The selected food spots were delicious, and in between the tastings we visited various historical and artisan places, where he shared many insightful facts. His deep knowledge of Cali and its history made the tour especially enriching, giving us a real sense of the city’s culture and identity. We always felt safe and well taken care of. If we weren’t leaving tomorrow, we would definitely book another one of his tours with him.
