A chocolate experience to remember!

See and touch the fruit of the chocolate tree, and learn all about how the beans are transformed into delicious chocolate.

Have fun making your own Scottish-themed chocolate to take home! You can even make a chocolate Greyfriar's Bobby, a chocolate Nessie or a chocolate Edinburgh Castle!

Next, come to the tasting room with a wide selection of chocolates from both Scottish and international chocolate makers. There are over 30 varieties to choose from including Haggis chocolate, Japanese chocolate, chilli chocolate, gin chocolate and many, many more.

Finally, wrap your delicious chocolates to take home to enjoy or give as a gift.

Chocolate samples are provided throughout the tour. Vegan or milk-free options are available.

A 90-minute, fully-guided tour experience for ages 6 and up. Discover the journey from chocolate tree to chocolate bar at The Chocolatarium in Edinburgh’s historic old town. - make your own chocolate bar to take home - learn all about the chocolate-making process and its history - taste chocolates from our selection of over 30 wonderful chocolates from Scotland and around the world.

Really wonderful experience...super knowledgeable staff and great chocolate experience. Was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating for one of our guests with multiple food allergies. Bummed that we couldn't go back for the truffle experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was led by Emma, who was lovely and very knowledgable. Learning about the origins of chocolate and getting to taste samples along the way made it interesting as well as fun. I’d definitely recommend this if you’re taking a trip to Edinburgh.

Our tour guide Hanna was very welcoming and the tour was great. Our 12 and 9 year old loved making their own bars and the tasting room. We were stuffed at the end of it!

Really well structured tour - starts with a talk on the origins of chocolate, then a session in the kitchen to make your own, and finally a tasting session - everything from 100% down. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

The whole experience was educational and brilliant from start to finish. Jennifer our host was incredibly passionate about the whole experience and knowledgable and made the whole thing fun and enjoyable. Was a birthday present for my partner and she really enjoyed it too.
