Discover our half-day private tour in our unique Suzuki, the only one offering tours in Madeira.
We start stopping at Terreiro da Luta to admire peaceful panoramic views over Funchal.
Next, we visit the Ecological Park Interpretation Center, where you can explore a small nature museum and enjoy a short guided walk around the upper mountain streams that flow down to the city. It’s a quiet, educational and photogenic stop.
We continue to Pico do Arieiro (1,810 m), Madeira’s third-highest peak, where you’ll have time to explore its dramatic volcanic landscapes. You may also spot rare birds such as the Zino’s Petrel.
On our descent, we pass through Camacha, the birthplace of football in Portugal, and visit a nearby section of the Levada da Serra to learn how Madeira’s water channels work — no hiking required.

5.00Beautiful half-day tour through the mountains of Madeira with stops for looking and hiking. Because we have already visited Camacha, a visit to the statue of Christ was briefly inserted at the end on the coast. Our driver guide did this voluntarily and without haste despite the excessive length of the tour. A great experience if not everything is billed by the minute hand - exemplary and highly recommended guide.

5.00What an amazing trip Ross told us many interesting facts about the area and Madeira. The Pico do Areeiro was clouded & as Ross isn’t able to control the weather he adapted our tour to experience alternative sights we hadn’t visited previously. These places we thoroughly enjoyed! We cannot recommend highly enough a private guided tour and will definitely use Ross again. Ross is a wonderful guide, safe and considerate driver.. 5.00I was initially worried about this jeep tour because I suffer from motion sickness but it was nowhere near as bumpy as I feared. Ross was a great driver and let us spend exactly the right amount of time we wanted to spend at each stop. I thought this private tour was well priced and covered a lot of the same stops as most East island tours that I was especially interested in seeing.
