Our group of six friends did the Highlands, Whisky, and Castles private tour from Edinburgh. Sandy was quick to respond to all my questions when planning the day trip and helping to tailor the itinerary to our interests and customize a couple of the stops. Communication and follow-up during the booking process was great, and our guide, Calais, arrived early to pick us up - the car was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Calais was an exceptional tour guide, super friendly and personable. He provided great stories and history during the drive and castle tour (definitely more interesting than the standard audio tour!), and kept us on pace throughout the day while not making anything feel rushed. The whisky and chocolate pairing at Lindores Abbey Distillery was fantastic - beautiful tasting room and facility, we all really enjoyed the whisky and local chocolates. We had a great day - perfect way to get out of Edinburgh for the day and see more of Scotland during our trip. I look forward to touring with Experienced Tours in the future!

We were two couples on a private full-day tour, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The itinerary offered a great mix of different stops – a bit of everything, always interesting and engaging. Our guide, Rob, truly made the day special! He shared lots of entertaining and fascinating stories, and his deep knowledge of both historical events and the places we visited was very impressive. Lunch was delicious, and everything was extremely well organized from start to finish. On top of that, Rob was genuinely friendly, sociable, and had a great sense of humor – a real pleasure to spend the day with. We can highly recommend this tour, and if you can, ask for Rob as your guide – you won’t be disappointed!

This was my second visit to Scotland and second time using Experienced Tours. We spent the day with Debbie visiting the Scottish countryside. We stopped at a lovely castle, toured a whiskey distillery and stopped to feed the highland cows. It was a really great day and both the adults and teen enjoyed the tour. I have recommended Experienced Tours to friends and will continue to do so. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again if we make a return visit to Scotland.

Hazel provided my family exactly what we were looking for in a private tour: flexibility and patience. She made adjustments to the itinerary based on our interests and was absolutely wonderful with our 2 year old. We ended up skipping the distillery and spent more time exploring the countryside. An unforgettable experience that helped make this UK vacation our best yet.

My friend and I had a great day with Hazel. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Experienced Tours. We were able to get out of the city and see the lower highlands along with Doune Castle and a tasting at Aberfeldy. Hazel was even nice enough to email recommendations for visiting Stirling the following day.

We actually toured privately with Laura to Inverness. Isle of Skye and Oban. Laura was authentic Scottish most knowledgeable and hospitable. She added many unique elements to a full itinerary including hikes to waterfalls and other inspiring vistas. Laura was really a wonderful tour guide and made the experience most enjoyable and interesting.

This day was one of the most fantastic days of any trip we have been on! Calais was first most, an excellent driver, spending hours on highways and one lane roads. Beautiful appointed Mercedes van with comfortable seating and a fridge with water, chocolate and whiskey with little taster glasses too. (not for the driver of course!) We felt totally safe and at ease. The trip was planned out to the minute with great stops for snacks, lunch on Loch Ness shoreline, feeding a coo and stops for pictures of the incredible landscape along the 9 hour day. There are many tour choices and I chose Experienced Tours. So very glad I did. I am suggesting them here to all ages and small groups who want to see the gorgeous Highlands and hear about the history of Scotland along the way. Leave the stress of driving and map reading behind, with Experienced Tours.

What a day!! Without a doubt, the best ever tour we had with my family. The Highlands, whisky and castles trip, surpassed every expectation! Calais our private tour guide was simply magnificent! His historical knowledge of Scotland was second to none. Such an amazing tour guide and person, who elevated the whole experience to another level. The scenery, the route, the castles, the whisky tour, I don’t think I have words to describe how marvelous everything was! I totally recommend this to everyone! Calais thank you so much for making this day extra special with your presence! Until we meet again!
