Our experience with Babylon Tours in Berlin was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, this was a five-star experience, made truly unforgettable by our incredible guide, Jochen. Jochen brought Berlin’s history to life in a way that was both deeply informative and genuinely engaging. His ability to weave together the story of the city from the days of the Prussian Empire through the complexities of the 20th century and into modern-day Berlin was remarkable. Every stop along the way felt meaningful, with rich context, fascinating detail, and just the right touch of storytelling. What stood out most was Jochen’s passion and depth of knowledge. He didn’t just recite facts, he connected events, people, and places in a way that gave us a true understanding of how Berlin became the city it is today. Something I felt was important for my 20 yr old son. He was also warm, approachable, and happy to answer questions, making the experience feel personal rather than scripted. If you’re looking to truly understand Berlin beyond the surface, I can’t recommend Babylon Tours—and especially Jochen—highly enough. An absolute must-do experience for anyone visiting the city.

Jochen was a fantastic guide appropriately mixing story with fact, humor with tragedy, and effectiveness (focused on his guests) and efficiency (staying within the allotted time). The tour itinerary reflected more the Cold War and its impact on Berlin instead of simply looking at the Berlin City center, which we greatly appreciated. Combined with the WWII - Third Reich tour, we received a broad understanding of how the citizens have responded to each new twist and turn, resulting in a deeper appreciation for the German people and all they’ve had to endure.
