My fiancee booked this tour and she did an excellent job. It was a great day out on the river, we saw some beautiful wildlive and Sean knew the local ecosystem so well. The vineyard and lunch was lovely. It ended with a great walk along the cliffs. Blue sea and sky as far as the eye could see. The tour really brings together what it is about the local land and flora that make up the region and allow it to make what it does.

If you are in or around Margaret River area this tour with Sean is a no brainer. In fact it’s a must especially if you only have time for one tour in the area. It’s a great mixture of many things that the run of the mill wine tours do not bother to do. Sean’s knowledge of the areas geography, history and animal life is never ending. This is a review from a couple that don’t normally bother with reviews.

The most awesome day out today with Sean owner of The Margaret River Discovery Co - Wine & Adventure Tours. What a highly entertaining and knowledgeable guy - loves the great outdoors and knows his stuff when it comes to wine!! We had a fabulous kayak along the Margaret River followed by a beach stop at Gnarabup and a super 4x4 bash in the Bush!! One of the many highlights of the day was an incredible personal tour at Fraser Gallop Estate followed by lunch and a selection of beautiful wines.Finished with another 4x4 bush/sand drive to the most stunning place ever and a walk along the cliffs. Mind totally blown…. 5 stars all the way, thanks Sean!!!

The tour was amazing, we were able to do a bit of everything. Sean is great at making the experience suitable for all people regardless of the background, age, ability. As his first Ecuadorian he was able to teach me about Australian culture and experience canoeing and four wheeling on sandy roads. He took us to the highlight of our trip to sit by the cliff and take a moment to realise how fortunate we are to be able to explore Australia this way. I highly recommend this trip and I am sure I will be back to do the tour again in the future. Fyi he took amazing pictures of us. Thank youuuuuu

Great day. Started well meeting the fellow travellers. Sean arrived slightly early and soon put us at ease and got everyone talking! Instructions were clear and we felt very safe all day. With only 6 people it was friendly and easy. We started with a leisurely canoe on the Margaret River. Such a relaxing and wonderful start to the day. Sean welcomed questions about anything! Clearly loves his WA environment flora and fauna and rich cultural heritage. Confident and knowledgeable we gained an insight about living and being an active part of a community in WA The tour to the vineyard and lunch was really interesting and lovely. The trip ended with an off the beaten track drive to the coastal path reconnecting to the environment and the culture of the area. The views were spectacular and breath taking and well worth the effort of the short hike Would strongly recommend to visitors to the area. Thank you Sean for a great day Gwen and Kev

Absolute excellent day out with Sean around the Margaret River area. Promptly picked up in town where we met the two other couples who were joining us for the day. We all fit neatly in his Discovery and set off to Margaret river. A stunning canoe trip down the river, in solid canoes and after expert instruction it was very easy rowing ( we are 62 and 65). To see the river from the water was an awesome experience and not one many people take up. Next stop coffee at the beach. We then drove round looking at the landscape and ended up on some rocks that the aborigines fished off and heard tales from earlier years. We saw Marron in the water. Next stop was lunch via Sean’s stunning house as he had got caught short ( never mind telling us to go to the loo!). Fraser Gallop Estate Winery was as is usual for wineries in a stunning position. The owner ( Nigel) house was in a magnificent setting and we met Nigel as we drove in, the vineyard is a relatively newcomer in the MR region but has won substantial awards. We were shown round by the very informative Michelle then it was a lovely lunch and the tasting began. Here I will leave for you to do the tour and savour the wines but suffice to say we bought some! The afternoon was spent on a 4WD experienced driver only private track to part of the Cape to Cape walk where we disembarked and strolled alongside the fantastic cliffs on part of the walk. We were rewarded with seeing a lovely pod of dolphins. It is deservedly one of the number one attractions in MR and we even got to witness Sean receiving an award for this. Don’t hesitate to- - just go but book early as it is very popular.

When my travel agent at Goway Travel suggested that we go on a wine tour during our time in Margaret River, West Australia, frankly I thought she was nuts! You see I don't drink and my son travelling with me is 13. But she said, you're not just going to check out wine, you're going to go canoeing, have an amazing meal, go on a hike along the coastline, visit an historic Aboriginal campsite and learn some of the Indigenous history of the area. In addition she said, you'll also get to see a modern vineyard in operation at the time that they're actually harvesting grapes and you can sample de-alcoholized wine. So I thought to myself why not? And for those of you who do drink, according to our group, the wine was nothing short of amazing and lots of different samples of some very special wine were enjoyed immensely. Sean the owner / operator of this amazing company was absolutely the best! Incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, personable with lots of good stories and jokes made the day a totally special event. He also brought his camera along and took a lot of pictures which he sent to all his guests for free. Who does that? Sean does. When you are touring West Australia, do this tour if you have an ounce of adventure in your soul and a love for unique travel experiences. You will not be sorry that you did and you will write the next review that is this glowing!

This is one not to miss. We had the best day discovering Margaret River in Sean’s Land Rover Discovery. Gentle kayak to start, coffee, then on to the vineyard for a truly memorable behind the scenes experience. Great lunch and wine tasting sitting amongst the wine barrels. We then went to a remote part of the coast accessed by a track. This is where the Discovery came into its own. You’re not getting down this track in your rental car that’s for sure. It’s a unique trip, delivered perfectly by Sean with energy and enthusiasm. A real highlight of our time in WA.
