What To Expect
La Placita de Santurce
This city tour is a complete and interesting one that starts by showing you the new city. You will see the urban areas of the city including Calle Loiza, famous for its restaurants and bars, Calle Cerra, famous for its arts and huge murals, and La Placita de Santurce, which is an original market square that at night turns into an active nightlife area.
Condado Beach
We will also visit all the tourist areas of the city like Ocean Park, Condado and Condado Beach.

5.00Angel was an amazing tour guide! It was a private tour, and Angel really took the time to delve into the history of Old and New San Juan. His historical knowledge is incredible. Our favorite part of the tour was him describing the Altar de la Patria (Altar to the Nation). Angel really delved into Puerto Rico's history, and brought an incredibly nuanced take that my group enjoyed. You can tell Angel really studied and appreciated the history, because by the time we finished our "briefing" of the Altar, two or three other groups had passed us! This tour is for the groups who want an unglorified, realistic, and historical introduction to San Juan. Props to our driver as well, who navigated the narrow city roads expertly!

5.00Angel and Annie took us first to Old San Juan, by the forts and through the historic cobblestone streets. We saw the original Spanish structures and learned their significance. Next was the expansion phase of the city out of its original walls centered on the Capitol. I didn't think I would find the 20th century expansion of the city as interesting, but Angel told us about the recent history of specific neighborhoods focusing on gentrification and the development of tourism, ending our tour at the modern convention center district. We enjoyed discussing his growing up in the city and what it is like to live there. A wonderful, personal two hours.

5.00Angel and Annie gave us a delightful tour of San Juan. Our family of four saw parts of the city that we would not have otherwise seen, and learned some interesting facts of the city. I would highly recommend this tour to people that would like to see more of the city while learning a bit as well.

We appreciated learning about the history of Puerto Rico from the very beginning up until present day.
