James is a wonderful , amazing tour guide to share about pediment representation and history on each government building we entered. It was my first-time stepping in the Folger Shakespeare library, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, then the US Capitol...all interior and exterior of the buildings are stunning. I felt special for the fantastic one on one private tour to learn about the underground corridors around the US CAPITOL too! This tour is highly recommended. James, Thank you for everything.

James is an engaging and fun tour guide with tons of knowledge. Tour covers a lot which is nice. The small group was also a plus as we did see larger groups in the capital tour.

Loved this tour with Shane! We lucked out with a snowy morning, which made DC feel even more magical. Shane really knows his stuff but also makes it fun — he shared great stories, fun facts, and little details you’d never catch on your own. This isn’t your classic National Mall tour with monuments and memorials. It’s focused on the story of how Washington, DC came to be — the people, politics, and events that shaped the Capitol and the country itself. It’s very history-rich and full of fascinating details, but Shane also gives you space to slow down and really appreciate the architecture, culture, and energy of the neighborhood. There were only two of us, so it felt almost private. Never rushed, always engaging. I’ve done tours all over the world, and this one easily makes my top list. Highly recommend if you want to see Capitol Hill in a more personal, meaningful way!
