Discover St Maarten’s one-of-a-kind underwater sculpture park, Under SXM, with the people who know it best — the creators, builders, and owners of the park itself. This 2-hour adventure begins with a short scenic 10 minute boat ride from Great Bay to Little Bay, where over 300 sculptures transform the seafloor into a breathtaking gallery teeming with marine life.
Your expert guide will join you in the water, sharing insider stories about the design, build, and installation of the park, while also pointing out fascinating sea life along the way. Snorkel gear and safety floats are provided, and optional digital underwater photos can be purchased onboard to capture your memories.
With three tours daily at 9am, 11.30am & 2pm and a meeting point just a 10-15 minute walk from the cruise ship terminal, this experience is designed to be easy, memorable, and stress-free. We guarantee you’ll always be back to your cruise ship or your sun lounger on time.

Our snorkel spot location - 300 artificial reef sculptures celebrating the history and culture of St Maarten. These sculptures are at a depth of 15 feet below you, allowing our guests to float simply above and watch the marine life below.

5.00This was an amazing excursion. We loved having the underwater park to ourselves so you didn’t have a lot of snorkelers crowding you like some of the other tours. Our guides were absolutely fantastic!! The history of the underwater park was so neat! Best excursion of our cruise!

4.00The experience was new and captivating. Although I typically avoid deep waters, the helpful captain encouraged me to participate. My son and I saw many types of fish and even turtles. The statues play a vital role in creating homes and food for marine life, and I appreciate what they do for the ocean. Everyone should have the chance to enjoy such an adventure..

5.00This was a perfect first snorkelling experience for my children aged 6 and 8, easy for them to manage and fun for us as parents too. Our guides from Under SXM were informative and helpful and the meeting point was easy to find from our cruise ship dock. Ours was a trip of 16 people in total, which was nice and small. The boat wouldn’t have space for many more so I assume this is the usual sort of number. As we arrived at the snorkel site, however, a much bigger boat of people had just got into the water, which I think meant that fewer fish stayed around, but the group quickly left and it felt like we could see many more fish after that! Overall it was a nicely paced and good value trip and I would recommend it, especially for less experienced snorkellers.

5.00I had an amazing experience snorkeling with Under SXM! The sculptures were very visible, and the fish were abundant and colorful. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and provided great information throughout the tour. The highlight of my day and my vacation was having the chance to observe a sea turtle for a few minutes. Truly unforgettable!

5.00Pretty neat experience and some exposure to the history of St. Martin. Had over 40 minutes of snorkeling time, which seemed like a good amount for what was there. One of our boys liked this better than the other snorkeling adventure.

5.00We took the first morning tour and the visibility was perfect!! We saw all the sculptures clearly and plenty of fish swimming around, even turtles! My daughter loved the tour and swimming around, easy enough for a 14 year old trying it for the first time. The gear was provided, the boat ride was super nice. Our tour guides were the best, great stories about the sculpture park and the island history. I would say the tour was the highlight of our trip! Definitely recommend the photo package, it’s worth it!
