  I had the unique opportunity to visit the mushroom growing of Carsten and Silvia - an incredibly exciting and educational experience! The tour of the plant was very well organized, the two founders openly demonstrated their growing process with enthusiasm and expertise – from the selection of spores to the harvest of mushrooms. It was impressive to see how sustainable and environmentally conscious work is already being done here according to organic and soon to Demeter standards. The plant was state-of-the-art and very well maintained - I could clearly see how much love and care goes into the production of the mushrooms. I found the different varieties particularly interesting and how each grows and thrives in its own way. I have learned a lot about the world of mushroom cultivation and appreciate the work behind each pack of fresh mushrooms. A big compliment to the two pioneers of mushroom cultivation in the city of Zurich for the open and warm atmosphere – I can recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about sustainability in growing mushrooms!
