This tour is misleading and outright false. It’s called “The Ultimate Day Trip to Bulgaria FROM BUCHAREST” — but it actually starts in Bulgaria. I booked it based on the title alone, assuming it leaves from Bucharest. Turns out the meeting point is in Ruse, Bulgaria. Sure, I should’ve checked, but the title clearly says it starts in Bucharest. When I contacted Viator and the tour provider asking for a transfer (which I was willing to pay for) or a refund, they basically said tough luck. Nothing they could do. An expensive mistake.

From Bucharest I went with you for a day to Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria. Narcissus is a born tour guide who took us under his wing with great pleasure and dedication. His tour of the Citadel of Veliko Tarnovo was enriching. He also gave me very useful information about what to do during the rest of my stay in Romania. Cherish this man and what he radiates, he gives an extra dimension to an already special day. Would love to do the day again.

Great day tour in Bulgaria. We got the flexibility of the self-guided tour and really enjoyed it with the business partners.

Never thought this kind of scammer still exist in 2024 but obviously only on Viator. The low cost option what’s so called self-guided tour which costs 77USD is merely a two page pdf with historical information from Wikipedia (if this is a business why wouldn’t people do other things for a living), and they refuse to answer any of your questions about transportation before you can cancel for free, and tell you everything is fine until the night before your trip. Then when you wanna cancel they play the victim saying everything was on the page and you are the one to blame, and even if you wanna upgrade to their expensive option of 300Euro they still can’t arrange it, all they want is to keep the money, and the worst part is that it was too late for you to arrange anything else. I would say this is the worst impression they can leave on tourist who merely want a glimpse of Bulgaria on behalf of their country.

Went to Bucharest on a one week business trip. There I had visitors and lots of meetings. In one of the days I decided to take all my partners on a one day trip to Bulgaria to show them. I did not have the car to fit everybody so I booked this trip. It turned out to be a real gem. Everybody and myself too enjoyed it greatly! Wonderful guides, nice timed route, lots of attractions. It took about 10 hours but it was fantastic and my business partners signed the contracts I went for there. Amazing!

An amazing day trip to Bulgaria. Just note it says private when you buy it but private here does mean other people who can fit in the van as well (we had 4 others with us on the trip but they were all very pleasant). The tour guide was amazing, lunch was wonderful, and the sights were stunning. Highly recommend.
