Our tour starts in Eyre Square in Galway City Centre. Listen as your guide tells you stories about Eyre Square, the (seemingly) random doorway which was once the gateway to the park, Galway's link to a famous US president and learn about the flagpoles that adorn the north side of the square.
The Browne Doorway
Listen to the tales of the Tribes of Galway, one of which was the Browne family, who's doorway now sits in Eyre Square

Really well done by guide who gave us knowledge and context for further directing our time in Galway. Afterwards we continued on with his suggested walk

Clare was very knowledgeable about the history of Galway City from medieval times until today. The city has many buildings that are very old and she shared some details about lots of them with great enthusiasm. Thanks Clare for a great morning.

The walking tour wasn't bad but I think not great value for money for what it was. It could have included a bit on the 1916 Rising and The War of Independence and the part some of Galway's revolutionaries played.
