Porcelain House
The Porcelain House is a priceless building decorated with 4,000 pieces of ancient porcelain, 400 pieces of jade stone carving, 20 tons of crystal and agate and million pieces of ancient Chinese ceramic chips. It is located in a bustling area, close to the former residence of an instigator of the Xi'an incident and a patriotic hero in China. Originally a 100-year-old French style villa, the residence is a five-storied building with a total area of 3000 square meters. On the roof of the house is embedded a 768-meter-long dragon relief made by over ten thousand pieces of porcelain and an eye-catching English word, 'China Dream', with Chinese characters and the flag of China on both sides. Inside the house there are many famous paintings comprised by ceramic chips, including the world famous painting, Mona Lisa. Besides, the walls of the house are named the 'peace wall', consisting of 635 vases made during Republic China and the late Qing Dynasty.
Ancient Culture Street (Gu Wenhua Jie)
Located on the west bank of Hai River, in the north-eastern corner of Nankai District, Tianjin Ancient Culture Street is a commercial pedestrian street. In ancient times, this was the place where people worshipped the Goddess of the Sea and boatmen had happy get-togethers. Tianjin Ancient Culture Street is a street consisting of small booths or shops which are modeled after the small folk shops from the Qing Dynasty. There are about 100 shops in the street. All of them have Qing-styled architecture. Colored pictures decorate the doors or windows. These pictures are mainly concerned with history, mythology, figures, birds and flowers. They are openwork, relief sculptures or circular engravings. The street mainly specializes in three kinds of commodities. The first are cultural relics, antiques and old furniture. The second are traditional folk commodities, such as baby dolls, painted clay sculptures of Clay Figure Zhang. The third are restaurants, tea houses and entertainment venues.

Superb visit of Tianjin from Beijing , that good things between the panoramic views of the landscapes, the historic and symbolic places passing by souvenir markets without forgetting Chinese cuisine! Only moments of pure happiness tinged with exoticism. Do not miss this opportunity to discover the wonders of China!!

We arrived without much of an idea of what to see and how to move around the city, but Judy Dong, our personal guide, provided a private van with private driver which took us comfortably around the city. We got to see many sites in 1 day in a flexible and easy manner, without waiting in a long lines of Beijing under judy’s certified skip-the-line license. Judy also helped us to book the forbidden city tickets one week in advance in case it would be sold out when we arrived in such a peak traveling season. Judy’s company is definitely 100% recommended !!

We got the tip from friends to contact Judy for a guided tour thru Beijing and from this point on the communication was more than perfect and easy and as well trustful. Judy realized all our wishes to see temple of heaven, Tian’anmen square, forbidden city and the summer palace and kept us always relaxed during this tough program. We had a real good communication not only over the sights as well political, social and personal things crossed our conversation. ...perfect to understand the Chinese culture a little bit better. I can recommend Judy for everybody to spend a perfect in Beijing and feel a little bit like spending a day with a friend! Add on Mr.Zang was a perfect driver...clean and comfortable car and always perfect in time!

Highly professional guide and interpreter. Even though I had previously seen some of the visited sites, she provided additional, in-depth, historical information as well as insight into current events. Excellent, sophisticated English translation skills. I will recommended her to members of my family.

Judy is a very very sweet and responsible guide. We had her for our students and professor's day tour to Great Wall, we had a little accident on the way back, one of our professors went missing, Judy went out her way to help us find him and brought him back safe and sound. She is very knowledgeable on Chinese history as well, super passionated. If you are looking for an authentic experience for Beijing, Judy is right one to go! Thank you Judy, for all your help! we really appreciated it!
