Enjoy an exclusive Spanish guitar concert. Here each interpretation becomes a journey through time through the explanations of flamenco history. Thus exploring the works of masters such as Manuel de Falla, Francisco Tárrega, Sabicas and Paco de Lucia. Our idea is inspired by the deep connection between classical guitar and flamenco guitar, which begins in the 19th century, when musicians combined academic studies with popular guitar.

This recital, given by Alvaro Munoz, was hands down the most memorable part of my trip to Spain. It is seldom one has the opportunity to experience a talent such as this, especially in such an intimate setting. Munoz's technique is flawless, but it is his command of musical expression that sets him apart. The music flows from his fingers into the guitar and takes you away. We were also treated to some of his own intensely beautiful compositions. The recital was interactive and informative and the artist was engaging. I highly recommend you take in one of Alvaro Munoz's recitals while in Granada.

This was a fabulous recital. The guitarist for that evening was Alvaro Munoz, an incredibly talented and personable young musician and composer. He led us from the Renaissance through to the Romantic periods of the guitar repertoire, at times interspersed with dazzling Flamenco styling. We were also treated to a number of his own compositions, which ranged from achingly beautiful to uplifting and exuberant. His technical precision was masterful but it was his artistry of musical expression that enchanted us. The intimate nature of this recital venue gave the opportunity for us to informally interact and converse with the artist. If you want to experience an up-close and personal evening of fantastic music, go to one of these recitals - especially if Alvaro is performing.

Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical when I booked the concert online via a mass portal before our holiday. But then my expectations were exceeded: We were able to experience a beautiful and unforgettable guitar evening in an intimate atmosphere. While the streets were crowded outside during the hustle and bustle of Semana Santa, and the cuantadores screamed their souls out of each other in the Cuevas, here we found a soothing place of rest. The concert takes place in a small but fine, architecturally reduced space with exposed concrete walls and without the usual copper kettle kitsch of the Cuevas des Sacramonte. The artist took the time to introduce the audience to the wide field of both classical and flamenco guitar within a good hour, in a very pleasantly sympathetic and humorous way. The classical repertoire included probably the most popular representatives such as the Recuerdos de la Alhambra of Tárraga (with a nice soft and even tremolo and convincing modulation) and the Asturias of I. Albéniz (with a lot of depth and feeling). To flamenco music we heard an early form of Soleares, a seguiriya, a Bulerías and a(n) Tangos. The pieces were sophisticated and versatile. sthe pieces were a pleasure for both amateurs and connoisseurs. Unfortunately, the time passed far too quickly for my taste. However, I was compensated for the fact that the artist took time to talk to me after the concert (in German). I'll be back on my next visit. Thanks for the nice evening Pablo.

Very humble young man, I've been listening to flamenco players for the last 10 years, I've listened consistentlty to Pepe Habichuela, Tomatito, Jose del Tomate, VIcente Amigo, and many more, and Pablo Gimenez is right there .... among them, his finesse is plesant. his timing and movement on the guitar takes it to a new dimension. My wife and I loved the one hour show.

We enjoyed an amazing evening of Spanish and flamenco guitar with Pablo. His music and guitar playing was exceptional but what really made it a five star experience was Pablo’s friendly and engaging commentary, and the time he took to explain his passion for music. Do not miss this experience 😊

A very alternating program was played. Thanks to Pablo's explanations, I also understood better how the flamenco tradition works with dance and singing. Next time I will definitely come back!

Pablo is an amazing musician with a passion for both flamenco and classical guitar. Besides the pieces from known composers he shared some of his own compositions that touched my soul. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy an engaging hour of music in an intimate setting.

Up close and personal. Clearly a virtuoso, Pablo combines an intimate knowledge of the history of the Spanish guitar with spectacular playing.

Pablo is charming & a fierce guitarist. A treat to see/hear him play up close. Also, a pleasure to be gently led to a deeper knowledge of the relationship between classical & flamenco guitar.
