For over 2 decades, I’ve been organizing tiger safari tours in Ranthambhore National Park, a place I proudly call home. Born and raised here among the tigers, I bring deep local knowledge and a personal touch to every safari experience.

After being picked up from your hotel in Sawai Madhopur, set off on a 3-hour shared safari at Ranthambore National Park, located in Rajasthan. Each safari is limited to one of the 10 available zones, based on availability, and offers the chance to encounter the park's renowned Royal Bengal Tigers amidst its vast deciduous forests.

You can choose between two safari options:

Jeep: A more intimate experience, shared with up to 5 other guests (6 people total).

Canter (Bus): A more economical option, accommodating up to 20 people in a shared vehicle.

As you journey through the forests, keep an eye out for a variety of wildlife, including different species of deer, sloth bears, monkeys, hyenas, and leopards.

Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambhore National Park, located in the desert state of Rajasthan, India, is one of the country's most renowned tiger reserves and a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. The park is surrounded by the ancient 10th century Ranthambhore Fort, adding a historical and majestic charm to its wilderness. Ranthambhore boasts a robust population of royal Bengal tigers (around 75 tigers in 1400 square km area), making it the premier and most iconic tiger reserve in India. It features a dry-deciduous forest, characterized by sparse undergrowth and shedding of leaves by most trees during the dry season. Among all the tiger reserves in India, Ranthambhore receives the least amount of rainfall, resulting in limited areas with tall grasses. Furthermore, the park boasts a well-developed network of forest tracks. Together, these factors create ideal conditions for exceptional tiger sightings. Ranthambhore is partitioned into 10 distinct zones, each of which is inhabited by tigers.

  • Best part of our North India trip

Did a morning and an afternoon safari in a canter. Saw total of 3 or 4 tigers, mostly from afar but one crossed the road in front of us. Also saw tons of other species which were also very interesting. I can almost guarantee you that nothing will go wrong if you book with Guddu, he is extremely experienced and will set you up with a good, competent guide and driver. I also highly recommend staying at his property which is absolutely wonderful, delicious food at his restaurant and amazing service. Staying at his place also makes things very smooth as the canter picks you up from a nearby road. Guddu treated us like VIPs, he shared a beer with us as a celebration after the safari and took us all the way to our train platform when we were leaving, perhaps it was because he wasn’t very busy at the time but I still think it shows how extremely hospitable he is. This was perhaps the best part of our 10 day north India trip. It was a fantastic break from the Delhi air pollution (the air was so fresh and clear you could see the stars from there) and personally I enjoyed it more than the Taj Mahal which was obscured by smog. I can also recommend the canter safari to you; it actually has some advantages over the jeep as you are positioned higher and unlike I assumed, it didn’t seem to affect our ability to follow the tigers very much. Of course we were definitely lucky to see any tigers but from reading reviews of other guides, it seems like ours were competent as we didn’t go to any zones where I heard there weren’t many tigers. 100% worth it, don’t miss it, book at least 2 safaris

My stay at Jungle View Resort was nothing short of magical. If you are looking to truly disconnect and immerse yourself in the raw beauty of nature, this is the place. Nestled deep within the Ranthambore Forest, the resort doesn't just offer a view of the jungle—it makes you feel like a part of it. Waking up to the symphony of birds and the rustling of leaves is an experience I will never forget. What elevates this resort from exceptional to unforgettable is its soul: the owner, Guddu Bhai. He is the most generous and hospitable person you could hope to meet. His warmth is genuine, his stories are captivating, and his attention to every guest's comfort is remarkable. He doesn't just run a resort; he welcomes you into his jungle home. He is, without a doubt, a true exemplar of legendary Rajasthani hospitality. Having stayed at many resorts before, I can confidently say the combination of elements here is unmatched. Jungle View Resort is more than just a place to stay between safaris; it is the heart of the Ranthambore experience. I left not only with incredible memories of the wild but also with the feeling of having made a friend. I cannot recommend it highly enough and will certainly be back. Thank you, Guddu Bhai, and the entire team, for a perfect stay.

  • Amazing experience at Jungle View Resort

I stayed at Jungle View Resorts, Ranthambore and honestly, it was a fantastic experience. The place is very close to nature, peaceful and gives you the real jungle vibe. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the basic facilities available. They even provided a room heater on request, which was very thoughtful. The food was delicious and the best part was that the cook prepared whatever we asked for — fresh and tasty every time. A special thanks to the owner, Guddu bhai. He is an amazing person, love the way he laughs — very supportive, friendly and always ready to help. His guidance and regular updates about tiger sightings really made a big difference. Because of him, we were lucky enough to see four tigers, which is quite rare and made our trip truly memorable. Overall, a great stay with warm hospitality, good food and a perfect natural atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ranthambore and would definitely love to stay here again.

Great visit. Two safaris: one canter to zone 3, where we encountered a beautiful female tiger, and one private/gypsy to zone 6, where we came across “Jay”, a majestic big male tiger. (And many other species). Our guide for the private tour, Mr Namedin (spell?), was particularly experienced and was able to help us see Jay multiple times!

We booked an afternoon and morning safari with Guddu as it was much easier than trying to understand Ranthambores booking website, and Guddu had good reviews. The communication was excellent and we only had a very short drive to the gate as we were staying at Jungle View Resort. Once in the park we were joined by a guide in the small jeep who spotted the animals and gave us a good commentary on all aspects of the park. It has beautiful scenery, lakes and temples and forts. We saw many animals, deer, mongoose , monkeys, crocodiles, hyenas, and amazing birds. We eventually came across a tiger ! We were lucky, as between November and December, there are fewer sightings, January/ March it increases , April/ June being the best time . The tiger was a littler distance away and only visible through a gap in the trees but non the less it was exciting. The ride through the park was a beautiful experience and definitely worth it .

Great tour, which Guddu was so helpful in arranging start to finish, from tickets, transfers etc it was really appreciated The tour was for around 3hrs in a gypsy, really comfortable. We unfortunately didn’t see tigers but did see hyena, crocs, jackals, deer and owls and eagles which more than made up for it and was a really unique, beautiful experience. Thanks so much!

The zone of the national park that they took us was not interesting at all. We didn't see a tiger (only a few zones have higher chance to see a tiger).

I had an awesome experience with Mr Guddu who went above and beyond to organise my safaris, ensure my safety, and much more. The communication was great and he was always available to answer my questions. I had the chance to see three tigers during two of the safaris and spotted some beautiful birds and other local fauna species. The scenaries are also very varied depending on the zones you visit. Planning these few days in Ranthambore was a bit overwhelming at the start due to the multitude of online offers and websites but I am very glad I came across Mr Guddu's profile. He made the whole experience very smooth. I also recommend staying at one of his resorts where you can enjoy a peaceful stay and very tasty food.

  • Total waste of money & time! But, if you want to support Tiger Conservation, you're better off donating money to the cause.

Worst managed safari experience in my opinion! I have been on numerous other safari drives in India and overseas (Africa included), and they all do their very best to make it memorable and satisfying...but Ranthambore doesn't care. They know that you have already spent time and money to travel to Ranthambore, stay there in a hotel, and paid for your safari tickets. The Safari vehicle drivers & guides don't even have radio contact with each other to inform Tiger sighting to other vehicles. This entire Ranthambore trip was a waste of money and time. Not a single tiger sighted.
