Titanic Trail Guided Walking Tour of Cobh
Operating daily since 1998, this 1 hour gentle stroll through the heritage town of Cobh explores the diverse and magnificent history of Cork harbour, its environs and the architecturally preserved streetscape. The engaging narrative brings together the amazing maritime, emigrant and social history of the area. Cobh was the main departure point for millions of Irish emigrants to the US. It was the last port of call for RMS Titanic, it received the victims and survivors after the sinking of the Lusitania during the first world war. Over many centuries, the invasions, departures, arrivals and utilisation of the port by many different peoples have crafted a fascinating story that will enthral and engage the visitor no matter what their interests. Created by the renowned Dr Michael Martin, this tour will bring you new knowledge and fascinating insights into world stories in the environment in which they were created.

Our guide Tom was terrific! He gave us an overview of Cobh and the Titanic and Lusitania connections, and he answered all our questions about the town. The tour provided a great overview before further exploring, and—with only a few hours to spend here—we chose this option vs the Titanic Experience for these reasons. Tom also had a great insider info on the best place to take photos!

Donagh was an excellent guide full of knowledge and extremely Friendly, he takes you on a tour of Victorian Times, medieval times and the history of The Titanic and the hardship that Ireland suffered throughout that era. I would 100 percent recommend this tour to anyone wanting to know the history of Cobh or Cove as Donagh explained.

He accepted several additional people at departure point negating our “small group” experience. He repeated himself a lot. Doesn’t feel we got much out of it that we couldn’t have read on the statues/plaques around town
