There is a security check to enter the Imperial Palace. Please do not bring knives or alcohol.
The Emperor's residence is not open to the public.
There are no health restrictions, but please note that you will need to walk up steep slopes and stairs.

You can see a surviving turret from the Edo period and learn about the security systems that still protect the Imperial Palace today.

Excellent guided tour! My guide Yuuki A was brilliant, very knowledgeable on the history of the area, therefore I learned a lot on the tour as well as seeing the sights. Overall, I would absolutely recommend!

We had a wonderful morning tour with Ai in Tokyo! She was very knowledgeable about Tokyo Castle and Imperial Palace. It was s small group, which was nice. It was lovely to walk around the Castle and imagine being a Shogun back in the day!

It was a real pleasure to go out with Frankie. A very educational experience with a great sense of humor. We had a wonderful time. Just keep in mind that you’ll be doing a lot of walking, but it’s a great tour.
