What To Expect
・Learn about the history of Gameboy ・Make your own unique Gameboy Advance IPS with various shells and other parts. ・With step-by-step guidance from a gameboy lover guide, you’ll build a Gameboy Advance that reflects your personal style. ・We will lend you a game cartridge to try out your creation. Please return it at the end of the workshop. ・The workshop will take place in Akihabara, Japan’s world-famous area for games, anime, and pop culture. ※Nintendo is not involved with our workshop. We’re a group of retro gaming enthusiasts who love reviving old consoles through creative upgrades and bringing classic consoles back to life. ※We offer a 3-day guarantee after the workshop in case of any issues. Please note that any shipping costs related to the guarantee will be covered by the customers.

Great Interactive Workshop for Gameboy Advances

5.00The workshop was super fun. We went through the full tear down and rebuild of a Gameboy Advance. As part of the rebuild you get to pick your case and all the buttons to match your own style. You get to replace the old screen with a brand new one and make all the connections to the electrical board. You get to solder some of the wiring yourself. Bin was super helpful, he spent time with everyone make sure they knew how to perform the next step and giving us pointers if he saw us struggling. Nothing beats the satisfaction of the first start up. My group took about 1.5 hours from start to finish, but they said that they can take as long as it needs to make sure you leave with your newly rebuilt Gameboy Advance. Highly recommend for anyone that loves retro gaming, enjoys working with their hands, and is looking for a more interactive experience.

I had stripped one of my screws, and they were very helpful in helping me fix it. They are truly a group of amazing and genuinely good people,

5.00Amazing time spent with the team. A fun engaging environment with great host and instructors. My family had a blast building our very own customized handheld console. Then playing the various games on our very own GameBoys... It was absolutely awesome!!! You have to give it a try. Cannot wait until we get to do it again!!

5.00I had an amazing experience building my GBA! I got to fully customize the casing and buttons. The team walked me through every process and I got to try my hand at soldering for the first time. The overall vibes were relaxed and enjoyable as the team was personable and friendly! I highly recommend this experience for anyone who wants to customize their GBAs. It’s a fantastic souvenir to remember for this trip!

He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and went way above and beyond to ensure everyone in the class succeeded. Whether you’re a pro or have never picked up a soldering iron, Bin makes the process seamless and fun. I walked away with a beautiful custom handheld and a great memory. Highly recommend!
