What can I say..... We had the best day with Taka, not only did he take us to some amazing spots he guided us through the subways and connected with our sense of humour which made a really fun walking tour! We shared a great meal together at the end where the laughs continued! Thanks Taka!

Our guide Taka was extraordinary in his tour and the reviews about each place. His knowledge of the places and culture of Japan is very good.

I would happily recommend this walking tour. I booked the four-hour tour for myself on the first day that I arrived in Japan, while others I was spending the holiday with not arriving until the evening. Taka was a wonderful tour guide and helped me to forget my jet lag by giving such an engaging insight into Tokyo. Ahead of the tour, Taka got in touch to relay all the details and confirm that he would meet at my hotel, which was really helpful. At the start of the tour, we had a chat about my interests and the sorts of things that I would like to see, and he adapted the tour around that - making it bespoke certainly helped make it feel even more worthwhile. As part of the trip to the Meiji Shrine, Taka was able to seamlessly weave in details of the history and culture of the place, with his own experiences, giving me a much greater understanding of both the shrine and the wider context in Tokyo culture. He gave me a tour down Takeshita Street, before showing me Ginza, which included a hidden view of the Tokyo skyline from above, and a history of Kabuki theatre. Akihabara was another place that I wanted to see, and he did a great job of showing me around some of the places he had spent time over the years and recommended. Throughout all of the tour, Taka was engaging and informative. Additionally, he helped me to understand how to navigate around the metro (including what the mega stations with lots of walking were!), he took photos to help me remember various sights, and gave some good recommendations on places to eat (that were not touristy), both in Tokyo and in the other cities that I would be visiting in Japan. As a solo traveller, the tour helped me not to waste the first day wandering around like a zombie, but actually make the most of seeing lots of parts of the wonderful city that is Tokyo. Taka is a great tour guide, and this is definitely a really worthwhile experience for anyone travelling to Tokyo wanting to know more about the city.

Taka is an amazing Guide who knows Tokyo very well. He took us to amazing sites like Shibuya crossing and took great photos of us. We loved how patient he was , always asked if we were enjoying ourselves. It was a lovely day and in the end he joined us for dinner. We went to an authentic Japanese Resturant where he helped choose delicious dishes. We really enjoyed the day with Taka.

Takanari conducts a thorough tour of Tokyo’s historic and modern day highlights. We only had a day to tour and we were left feeling like the only things left to see were the typical tourist traps like towers or other places requiring admission. We still had time to get those in after our tour though, so we didn’t miss a thing. I really appreciated the underground classic video game dens and the anime collectables stores and the street where he used to spend all his money on retro clothes like classic Nike shoes and American brand clothes, and then there was the alley with the stores where you could play with small pigs, Capybara’s, Otters, puppies and birds. Loved it all.
