What To Expect
Jump into the world of Japanese cuisine with some of the best and most underrated restaurants Shinjuku has to offer while taking a trip down ‘Memory Lane’ to see where Shinjuku grew from in the post-war era into the bustling commercial and administrative center that it is today before taking a short detour through Kabukicho, Tokyo’s premiere nightlife district and learning a little history of the project that never came to be and how the Tokyo underground influenced the area into what we have now. Here we’ll stop for a quick snack with one of Japan’s soul foods, a relic of Meiji period trade with the West. From there, we’ll find our way to the southernmost prefecture of Japan with a tropical stop in Okinawa and get to taste some of the wide variety of dishes and dessert that find their way from the beautiful seas around the islands themselves before wrapping up in front of the iconic Shinjuku station with its buskers, billboards, bright lights, and much beloved 3D Cat.

5.00We had only a few hours in Tokyo and this was the best way to spend it. We were able to combine incredible local food and drink with city sites and history while walking between restaurants. Our guide, Michael, was able to meet my dietary needs (gluten free), which made stopping to eat stress free. I never would have been able to guide myself so efficiently or have had to knowledge to order the best menu items without our tour guide.

5.00Some of the best food I've had on any tour yet! Our group was taken to a variety of restaurants, ranging from seafood to Okinawan, with a few interesting stops along the way. For a remarkably reasonable price, everyone in the group walked away absolutely satisfied. We were barely able to finish everything at the last stop! Our guide was also fantastic, full of energy and good humor. She went through a lot of history of Shinjuku and gave some insight into what it's like living in Japan. Overall, highly recommend this to anyone. Groups, solos, couples, I can't think of anyone this tour wouldn't be perfect for!

5.00Tokyo after dark has a real energy to it - neon-lit streets, hidden alleys and incredible food around every corner. This tour captures it perfectly. Mike was an outstanding guide, full of cultural knowledge and a passion for the city that made every stop genuinely interesting. The food was varied and well-paced, with each stop offering something different and delicious. If you’re looking for a fun, immersive way into Japanese food and nightlife, this is a great place to start.

5.00Food Tour!!! Didn’t really have much expectation but this tour was amazing. Our tour guide was well adept with the area and the culture of Japan and gave us great insights as it was our first time in Japan. The food tour came with 3 stops and from the 1st stop alone we were already super full. For a party of 4, 5 including the guide, they were not stingy with the servings. We also got to try the tonkatsu from the oldest restaurant that specializes in tonkatsu. I definitely recommend this tour. We had so much fun and the guide made us feel like family.
