We had an amazing experience on the shuttle to the start of the Tongariro crossing. The company was very friendly and we learnt lots about Māori culture and how much respect they have for the beautiful mountains. Would highly recommend!😁

Great shuttle service. Would use them again. Just try to be on time, shuttles wont wait if you are running late.

I went with my partner, we were excited and willing to pay the $120 for both of us to take the shuttle to the start. The ride over was okay. When hiking the weather turned really bad to where we and everyone hiking had to turn around. When we finally got to the start again, the same man who picked us up was waiting for us, we were relived as we were drenched and shivering. He quickly said “$50 cash per person or I’m leaving” we had to take a second to comprehend what was happening. He then said “or I’ll give you this brochure and you can pay $65 and wait for the next bus, either way I’m out of here” we were shocked, we are still students but we had to give him the last of our money. We hopped on the bus and found one seat left. My partner had to sit and crouch on the floor in this tiny shuttle bus. The man wasn’t driving particularly safe either, as I’m sure he wanted to get back ASAP to then pick up more people stuck in this weather. We didn’t have a good time.

Bus ride too expensive Walk was good And the weather was good No toilet paper in the toilets And unclear on how far apart are the toilets when you suggest we don’t use outdoors for toilet

The shuttle service was efficient, the drivers and organisers very pleasant with good safety and local information given on the way. A slight niggle, I texted the number 2 days prior to the shuttle to confirm and didnt hear back.

Don't go in a blizzard, pick your day. However, the walk is insane and would highly recommend it, I will be going back again on a nice day

Just get the first shuttle and beat the traffic on the trail. Park at the end so you do t need to wait for the return shuttle
