You will be greeted with a refreshing rhum punch upon arrival at this gorgeous landmark building located directly on the Caribbean’s largest Lagoon, which stunningly accommodates Topper’s Rhum distillery and its restaurant, bar, gelateria, and gift shop.
A knowledgeable and entertaining guide will give you a hands-on tour where you will learn a little history of rum and get a behind-the-scenes look at how they ferment, distill, blend, age, and expertly bottle their handcrafted rums and ensure their products meet the highest quality standards. You will learn how to nose and taste rhum. You will be treated to over 20 samples of their 124 different flavored rhums, rum cake, and rum-infused Italian gelato, and cook and taste food prepared with Topper’s Rhum.
As St. Maarten’s official rum, Topper’s has been named USA Today’s Best Caribbean Rum Distillery for four years and has won over thirty prestigious tasting medals. Come and have fun enjoying this world-class rhum.

5.00The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging . She included everyone in the tour. The food is literally a sample so don’t expect much. We went to eat afterwards at the restaurant part and food was delicious especially the rum cake. Overall definitely worth it.

5.00Topper’s Rum Distillery was such a fun and informative experience! The tour was very detailed, and the guide did an amazing job explaining how the rum is made, the different flavors, and how to properly pair them. There is definitely a lot of rum involved, so I highly recommend eating something solid beforehand! We paired the rum with gelato, which was delicious, and the rum cake—absolutely superb. We also tried it with pineapple chicken, and that combination was surprisingly really good. Overall, this is a great activity if you’re looking to learn something new while also having a good time and getting a little tipsy. I highly recommend adding this to your list when visiting!

5.00This tour was really fun & interesting - a good mix of historical info, tastings, and a couple of rum infused foods. Cristina was energetic, funny and engaging and gave a great presentation of the origins of rum and how it is made. The cooking demonstration using rum was also really good. Overall, well worth the time and money - especially if you are staying in the Simpson Bay area.

4.00It was a wonderful tour with an excellent guide (Julia). Very interactive and lots of interesting and creative infused rums to try. (Would recommend asking for a tour that is not full - ours was at capacity and it was difficult to see and hear as a result.). Otherwise it was outstanding!
