You will be greeted with a refreshing rhum punch upon arrival at this gorgeous landmark building located directly on the Caribbean’s largest Lagoon, which stunningly accommodates Topper’s Rhum distillery and its restaurant, bar, gelateria, and gift shop.
A knowledgeable and entertaining guide will give you a hands-on tour where you will learn a little history of rum and get a behind-the-scenes look at how they ferment, distill, blend, age, and expertly bottle their handcrafted rums and ensure their products meet the highest quality standards. You will learn how to nose and taste rhum. You will be treated to over 20 samples of their 124 different flavored rhums, rum cake, and rum-infused Italian gelato, and cook and taste food prepared with Topper’s Rhum.
As St. Maarten’s official rum, Topper’s has been named USA Today’s Best Caribbean Rum Distillery for four years and has won over thirty prestigious tasting medals. Come and have fun enjoying this world-class rhum.

5.00The tour and tastings was well worth it. The tour told the history of the distillery and rum on the island and we tasted numerous flavors of rum. It was amazing how accurate some of the flavors were, they were delicious.

5.00After a harrowing ride from the cruise line to Topper’s, we were SOOOO happy to arrive in one piece. Talk about a fantastic experience!!! The 20 of us were met by Cristina the resident ‘teacher’ of everything rum (rhum). She was a font of information about the history of run & Toppers while she professionally wrangled a progressively rowdy group who were tasting about 22 various flavors. And WHAT flavors they were (I’m looking at you jalapeño lime & apple pie rum!!). We toured the kitchen to learn all the wonderful ways you can cook with rum, sampled the run cake and the homemade gelato. This distillery makes all of their rums in small batches and by hand and the attention and care they use show. We all left with smiles and a bit of a buzz!! Thanks Cristina and Topper’s!!

5.00Our tour guide Cindy was amazing and was very thorough and interactive. It was interesting to learn the history and see the hands on operation. Everyone was very friendly. We then proceeded to eat at the restaurant and the coconut shrimp was fantastic!

4.00My husband and I stopped by Topher’s Rum Distillery for our daily ice cream fix during our trip. The ice cream itself was fine, but the service was a little hit-or-miss. Most of the staff seemed a bit distant and not especially helpful nothing rude, just not very engaged. That said, Sparkles was a complete standout. She was incredibly friendly, helpful, and truly made our visit enjoyable. We loved chatting with her, and true to her name, she has a sparkling personality. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, and honestly, she made all the difference. She absolutely deserves a promotion. If you go, hope you get Sparkles she turns an otherwise average stop into something memorable.
