You will be greeted with a refreshing rhum punch upon arrival at this gorgeous landmark building located directly on the Caribbean’s largest Lagoon, which stunningly accommodates Topper’s Rhum distillery and its restaurant, bar, gelateria, and gift shop.
A knowledgeable and entertaining guide will give you a hands-on tour where you will learn a little history of rum and get a behind-the-scenes look at how they ferment, distill, blend, age, and expertly bottle their handcrafted rums and ensure their products meet the highest quality standards. You will learn how to nose and taste rhum. You will be treated to over 20 samples of their 124 different flavored rhums, rum cake, and rum-infused Italian gelato, and cook and taste food prepared with Topper’s Rhum.
As St. Maarten’s official rum, Topper’s has been named USA Today’s Best Caribbean Rum Distillery for four years and has won over thirty prestigious tasting medals. Come and have fun enjoying this world-class rhum.

5.00If you like rum, this event is for you. Our hostess was excellent and really educated us on the rum making process. My husband got to act as “quality control”. I’d post the picture, but he might divorce me if I did. We enjoyed this event and bought some rum.

5.00The tour to the distillery was amazing. Julia taught us everything we needed to know about rhum, and Elicio took care of us at the bar. Mornie, the owner’s daughter helped us with our taxi when it was delayed. I cannot say enough about how helpful the entire staff was.

3.00Rum tasting at a small distillery. We did see the bottling (very small production room), but mainly tasted, learned a little about cooking with flavored rum. There’s a restaurant on site where you can eat, but it’s mainly a store with a few rooms for tasting and rum production. Another group had a multi-stop tour, including lunch and beach visit. We took a taxi from the cruise port and really wasn’t worth the can fare. Not much nearby that looked interesting to do.
