Nizwa Fort Oman
Next to the Souq is Nizwa Fortress, the Fort is a museum today and offers splendid views of this ancient town and the surrounding mountains, you can walk around in this impressive Fortress and visit its many rooms, passages, and towers, the Fort architectural testimony to the economic and military achievements of the early Yaruba dynasty from the mid-17th century, it was a military stronghold designed to withstand even the strongest of attacks at the time, even along the corridors, many traps were laid to deter any intruders that might have penetrated the defenses.

Wadi Shab
Today we continue our tour to Wadi Shab, this Wadi is an enormous canyon gorge that is lined with palm trees and impressive indications of what the power of the water coming down from the mountains can do in nature, with 35 to 40 minute hike up through the canyon Wadi (walking shoes or trainer are required) we arrive at one of crystal clear water pools, tourists can swim through the warm waters from pool to pool, eventually, we come to the last pool where an opening among the enormous rocks allows us to swim into an incredible crevice cave with a small waterfall. Inside, the sunlight filters in from the outside, turning the water into a beautiful turquoise blue whilst water showers down one side of the cave from the wadi beyond.
From Wadi Shab, We’ll make a stop at Fins Beach or people call it white sands beach opens up a panorama of strikingly white sands and intriguingly pebbly beach, with sparkling turquoise waters and soft cool breeze.
Bimmah Sinkhole
From Fins Beach to Bimmah Sinkhole, a big crater near the sea with a big lake at the bottom (Swimming is possible in the Sinkhole) Bimmah Sinkhole a water-filled depression, structurally a sinkhole, in the limestone of eastern Muscat Governorate in Oman, a lake of turquoise waters, it's 50 m by 70 m wide and approximately 20 m deep, it's 600 m away from the sea, between the coastal towns of Dibab and Bimmah village, the sinkhole was formed by a collapse of the surface layer due to the dissolution of the underlying limestone, to preserve the sinkhole, the local municipality developed a park there. Then we drive back to Muscat.

We had a fantastic time with our guide Fahad, who was knowledgeable and friendly, and did everything he could to make our trip comfortable. This trip was perfect for us since we didn’t have a lot of time. The accommodation was amazing, the food delicious. Highly recommend!

We took a 3 day / 2 night tour and though it was expensive it was worth every omani rial! Ali was our guide and the most courteous and safe driver and good company too. We visited nizwa and he even took us back in the evening for a tour by night and delicious rooftop dinner. We also visited Jebel shams and a historic village with falalj walk. The next day was to wadi Ben khalid - our favourite wadi as it was quieter than wadi shab and absolutely beautiful. We stayed overnight in ras Al hadd and Ali drove us to ras Al jinz where we had a magical evening on the beach watching baby turtles hatch and a huge mother turtle return to the sea after laying her eggs, topped off with a bit of bioluminescence! The next day was sur and then wadi shab - stunning but a long hot hike and a bit busy for swimming. Back to muscat via Finn's beach and bimmah sinkhole. It's an absolute must do to get out of muscat and explore this stunning country and meet its beautiful people. It was the absolute highlight of our trip to Oman!

Tour Arwa is an excellent 3 day tour package. The whole experience was amazing. Nizwa Fort is an interesting historical place to visit. Staying at Safari camp was incredible as you sat out to experience the beautiful night sky full of stars. Don't miss out on a camel ride to see the sunrise; it is breathtaking. The vibrant blue color of the pools at Wadi Bani Khalid amidst the mountains will make your tour well worth it. All the places covered during this 3 day tour were wonderful and the best was Wadi Shab where you will swim in the turquoise pools and see the beautiful cave. Our utmost gratitude to our guide Mr. Ali Al Muqeemi who really took care of our needs. He is a very patient, experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. Because of an accident which caused a massive traffic jam, we would not have been able to catch our flight had it not been his expertise in dealing with the situation and driving skills. Thank you so much Ali, we are blessed to have you as our guide.
