The tour to the Emberá indigenous community begins with hotel pick-up, followed by a scenic drive to Chagres National Park. Upon arrival, guests board a traditional canoe and travel along the river, surrounded by lush rainforest and native wildlife, following the same route the Emberá people have used for generations.
In the Emberá Tusipono village, visitors are warmly welcomed and learn about the community’s history, traditions, daily life, and handcrafted art. A traditional lunch prepared by the community is served in the village. The experience also includes a visit to a beautiful jungle waterfall, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in its clear waters and relax in nature.

Chagres National Park
In Panama's Chagres National Park, you can immerse yourself in nature through hiking and wildlife observation, explore the Emberá indigenous communities, take canoe rides on the Chagres River, observe birds in their natural habitat, explore picturesque waterfalls and rivers, and marvel at the diversity of flora and fauna that this unique tropical environment offers.

We will visit the Emberá Tusipono community, you can immerse yourself in indigenous culture through activities such as learning about their traditions and crafts, enjoying traditional music and dances, trying their traditional cuisine like smoked fish and plantains, and exploring the jungle on guided hikes to discover its rich biodiversity and natural medicine.

5.00Elliot was a fantastic guide. He was prompt for pickup, his vehicle was clean and spacious, and his English was great. He even shared local information while we were stuck in traffic, which made the time enjoyable. The boat ride was marvelous and worth the small additional free for the private tour. There was no need to ask other passengers to move of shift seats for pictures. It was just our family, Elliot, and the boat's owner. Everything was included so there were no additional boat fees. The drive was scenic. We had monkeys come right on to our boat, saw a tree sloth, many birds, and plants. I highly recommend this tour. I have no notes. Eliot exceeded our expectations.

5.00This was the best experience in Panama. Elliott took such good care of us. We saw everything and had plenty of time to spend with the Embera and their children. I’ve never experienced anything like this I recommend this experience for anyone who visits Panama

5.00The waterfall is not very large but worth the experience and the indigenous women are very friendly and one knows a little about the culture. It is an interesting and fun trip to make with the family.

1.00I will NEVER book this experience again! What was supposed to be a wonderful trip for my birthday turned out to be a money hungry disaster!!! I asked the tour guide if I could cancel because he changed the meeting location after I booked 5 days prior! He never offered to reschedule because he didn’t care!!! A family member was already en route on their plane and would not have the updated location to meet us there. That was not taken into consideration as well!! Do not book for your peace! He took my birthday money! No empathy @ all!! DONT BOOK! I traveled from DC to PANAMA for this tour!!!!!!!

The views of the impressive boat, the beautiful waterfall, the delicious food (we swell with delicious fruit) and we have learned a lot from its culture, having fun with the dance. They have amazing craft products and have artists to leave you very cool temporary tattoos!
