Fantastic experience visiting Tajikistan and the seven lakes. The tour was informative, and our driver was super friendly and gave us good time to visit the nature attractions, bazar and local food. The guide and organiser was also very nice and helpful making the crossing of the border very easy! We would definitely recommend the tour to anybody.

German nationals do not need a visa for Tajikistan. Therefore, it is possible to interrupt a visit to Samarkand and insert a visit to the Seven Lakes area. We had a taxi take us to the border. Crossing the border was unproblematic. On the Tajik side, a previously ordered SUV awaited us. Via Panjacent we drove into the Tajik mountains south of the city. Just outside the city begins the dirt road, which first takes you to the village of Shing. A little later you reach the first lake. The villages there are small hamlets. We were begged by children, which shows that strangers regularly drive through here. You gain height. The seventh lake pours into the sixth, the fifth, etc. At the third lake we had lunch like probably all those who do the tour. We ate very simple Pilaf. There are also very basic toilets. The drivers stop at the well-known lookouts, from which you have the best view of the respective lake. You are not (anymore) alone there. On the narrow slopes, there are daring maneuvers. From the sixth lake we continued on foot to the seventh. Less fit travelers can do that. Other visitors also roam the seventh lake. Walk back down to the car, then return to Panjakent. You can do the tour within a day and be back in Samarkand in the evening. However, we had decided to spend the night in the city. Our organizer accommodated us in the Hotel Fariz, a ostentation without charm. Our driver got us beer for the evening. ATTENTION: We received 1.5 liter bottles, which explained the price of about $4.- per bottle....... The next day we visited the archaeological park south of Panjakent, the bazaar, the museum and the archaeological site of Sarazm before leaving Tajikistan again. Remember to be picked up at the Uzbek border!

Amazing tour from Samarkand to the most beautiful lakes of Tajikistan. Crossing the borders was easy and fast within 10-15 minutes. The road to the lakes was not paved but drivable.

The 7 lakes are very beautiful and I recommend to carry out this experience. But the organization was not positive. We were on dirt mountain roads with a station wagon. Everyone else was with 4x4s. With such an unsuitable car, to go up the air conditioning could not be used and as a result we were obliged to keep the windows open. So we ate a lot of dust throughout the day. Not to mention that, due to incompreywith the driver who did not speak English, he did not even let us stop for lunch.

We started early at 5am, Ikrom was on schedule and picked us up at 455am, we drove to the border and because it was early we were able to cross over to Tajikistan in 15 mins. Sohib driver on the Tajik side met us at the exit and we drove over to the LAKES. Sohib carefully navigated the terrain, stopped at the right spots, brought us back to the market, helped us with exchanging the money and then walked with us through the market. Helped us with buying some vegetarian samosas from a local vendor - they were amazing. Going early is the key. The shadow and reflections are amazing before the sun rises all the way to top of us.

Superb excursion to the 7 lakes. We received all the explanations about the course of the day the day before departure by WhatsApp. A driver picked us up on time at our hotel, to take us to the border where a second driver was waiting for us. We had all the explanations about the 7 lakes and they were beautiful

We were lucky enough to join the Seven Lakes tour in Tajikistan, and we can only highly recommend it! It was an unforgettable experience, immersed in breathtaking nature among majestic mountains, authentic villages and lakes with incredible colors, one more fascinating than the other. The organization was really impeccable: we booked at the last minute, the night before at 19, and despite the very short notice everything was organized to perfection, with great professionalism and availability. We felt welcomed and accompanied with care along the way. Each stage was surprising: the landscape is constantly changing and offers unique views, perfect for those who love photography, nature or simply travel with eyes full of wonder. It is an excursion that also allows you to get in touch with the daily life of the locals, which has made the experience even more authentic and enriching. Highly recommended for those looking for an adventure outside the usual tourist circuits, well organized but at the same time genuine and deep.

We relied on Fayoziddin, for this experience and it was a great choice. Always available, attentive and excellent organization. The Tuor is unmissable. Enchanted places and wonderful landscapes. Our guide named Icrom (maybe I'm wrong to write it) was impeccable and professional. Beautiful day in Tajikistan.
