Amazing experience, highly recommend. The owner Alfredo is a fabulous person and enjoyed learning new recipes and cooking techniques from him in his open air facility. Super interesting class and the food was delicious!!

We were in Huatulco celebrating Frank's 67th birthday and he chose to do a cooking class. I found this on online and from start to finish, everything was excellent. Zero complaints. This little group from Louisiana learned a lot of real Mexican cooking and loved it. We also ate a very interesting breakfast tamale. I would recommend this class to everyone!!

We attended with our friends. The guys are non cookers but still found something for everyone to enjoy. Alfredo does a great job explaining what is being cooked, the history of the recipe and teaches you his passion. We enjoyed the day and definitely will recommend to others

Run to this experience!:) a local chef and restaurant owner opens his kitchen to you. It is one of my favorite ways to intimately connect with a culture:)

Always the best experience with Alfredo at Wahaca Cooking! We enjoy the shopping at the local markets, followed by the fun experience of cooking in his kitchen. Alfredo explains everything about the food and the history of Huatulco as he goes. We come back every year and will go back on our next trip to Huatulco. Thank you Alfredo for the wonderful memories and experiences over the years!

Amazing experience with Alfredo & Wahaca cooking! I can’t recommend this class enough! We spent the morning learning to make tortillas and learning about different ingredients & the history of the region. This is a must if you are in Huatulco & looking for a great cultural (and amazing food!) experience!

I’m not a cook at all. I wanted to try something new. My favourite part was shopping in the market learning so much local knowledge and observing our guide masterfully and respectfully communicate and explain about plants, fish, produce and the history. The tour is amazing!!!!

Alfredo as well as being a chef/restauranteur is an excellent teacher. We met him at the market where we selected the ingredients for our class and learned a little about traditional local products and their uses as well as the history of the area. The classroom is well organized and spacious and we were able to enjoy our hands on cooking in the adjacent al fresco dining area. Having spent some time in the US, Alfredo’s English is excellent. I would highly recommend Wahaca Cooking School for anyone interested in traditional Mexican cuisine and techniques.
