  • Fun, Hands On and Super Interesting

Alfredo as well as being a chef/restauranteur is an excellent teacher. We met him at the market where we selected the ingredients for our class and learned a little about traditional local products and their uses as well as the history of the area. The classroom is well organized and spacious and we were able to enjoy our hands on cooking in the adjacent al fresco dining area. Having spent some time in the US, Alfredo’s English is excellent. I would highly recommend Wahaca Cooking School for anyone interested in traditional Mexican cuisine and techniques.

We had a wonderful time learning how to make salsas, emapnadas, sopa, and margaritas at Wahaca cooking class. I loved that it was in Alfredos' kitchen and home. It felt like being with friends. A wonderful experience. I can't wait to return and try another cooking class.

My 13 year old son and I attended the "Tacos and Margaritas" class with Alfredo and we had so much fun! We learned about the local area, Mexican culture & traditions, food preparation and more! Alfredo is a great teacher, very organized & professional and yet a lot of fun - we highly recommended spending a few hours of your vacation with him. The art of making fresh tortillas was what my 13 year old loved the most. We will be back with the whole family next time.

So worth the cost and more. I'm cheap so was concerned about the cost, ... Don't be, ... Well worth it!!! Alfredo and his sous chef were awesome. You will get a really cool history lesson, a fun cooking lessson, and a bunch of Margaritas. The process was very cool and the food was incredible even if I helped make it. Lol. Take some friends, you wont be disappointed.

I gave the cooking lesson as a gift to my daughter and husband! After hearing their joy and excitement, I determined that we come back next year I will give it too them again and add myself and granddaughter! Here are some points they shared with me- - Breezy charming kitchen and dining area - Made the most delicious tacos and salsas and even passion fruit margaritas and tortillas (learning about the history of tortilla-making as well their family traditions) -Adjacent to Alfredo and family’s home making it a familial experience. - Alfredo knowledgeable, warm, and multi-lingual/cultural- A real winner!
