  Thank you for this very successful culinary experience and a cook and translator guide (to English) both very nice. Three good hours (even more) spent together on a large well sheltered terrace, preparing and tasting 4 different tagines, after Youssef asked us in advance if there were allergies and preferences to consider.  So 2 sweet tagines (one with beef, the other with chicken), and 2 salty tagines (one with vegetarian and the other with chicken), with all their excellent specific spices that make all the difference! A delight! Guide and very nice cook, thank you for a beautiful half day spent together! And for bearing it all in respect of Ramadan, hats off! As a bonus, Youssef has composed a superb video, very well made, which retransmits and summarizes this experience very well, thank you both!

  This was such good fun! I was made to feel so welcome, thank you. The cooking experience was excellent and we cooked two tagines on the top floor terrace overlooking the town and sea. Great communication and sent photos and video afterwards which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend this experience!!

  Attended with my daughter and husband, one of the highlights of our trip to Essaouira. We joined a group class with 3 others. Cooking class was great fun and informative in a relaxed environment. We made dishes of chicken, lamb and beef meatballs. The smell as it was cooking was divine and we wolfed it all down afterwards, was absolutely delicious. We ate out a lot on our trip and this was by far the best meal we had. Really hope I can recreate it when I am home! Bought some spices from the market so I’ve got no excuse. Thank you Joseph and Mohammed for being great hosts. (And a special thank you to Joseph for meeting us when we got a little lost!)

  What an enjoyable experience on the terrace. Our group of 6 made 5 different tagine recipes. Joseph, our host and our chef were amazing. Both professional, knowledgable and great presenters. They were so entertaining which made the preparation straightforward. And funny, these two kept our group laughing the whole time. The best part, once the tagines were cooked we were able to sample our fine work!

  Cooking workshop We had a very pleasant time mohamed and youssef made sure that this time was very friendly and very joyful, in all simplicity but with the expert eye of mohamed we prepared 2 tagines, one with chicken and the other with meatballs using the right products and with all the right tips to succeed. Waiting for it to simmer, and in front of a tea, we could have some addresses to buy good products. we feasted 😋

  Khadija and Abdou were very accommodating with our dietary requirements and so kind to our two children (2 and 5). We loved relaxing on the terrace in the breeze and getting down to business making a vegetable tagine and a delicious fish tagline. The kids learned a lot and were able to be very hands-on which we really appreciated. It also meant they felt invested in and proud of the food and they ate very well when the time came!

  I had an amazing experience and learnt so much from this cooking lesson. I know all about the spices and herbs and methods used to make two types of tagines plus I can make Moroccon tea. Enjoyed every minute of it!

  It was a super fun workshop! Youssef is a fantastic guide, photographer and cook. Together with his companion it was a very nice, interesting and funny afternoon. A top location to experience this workshop. The cook guided us from start to finish to prepare delicious tajines. Afterwards we received a lot of pictures and a video to enjoy this great day for a long time! Highly recommended if you are in Essaouira!

  After we decided as discussed on 📍Place Moulay Hassan had met with our host. We were guided over the 😍 rooftops of Essaouira. Under the guidance 👨‍🍳 and explanations about the different traditional spices and food customs we were allowed to prepare the food ourselves and of course also enjoy it afterwards😋. The atmosphere as well as the hosts unfortunately let the time fly. The food was like a thousand and one nights, a pure taste experience that we can only warmly recommend. Thank you for this great experience, the great food and the ❤️ warm hospitality.
