What To Expect
Karakoy
You will meet with your local tour guide at the hotel lobby and will discover and visit different parts of the city. Besides that, you will also have an amazing experience about local foods and cultures.First, will start to visit Karakoy area, the modern name for ancient Galata, is one of the oldest and most historic districts of the city and today an important commercial center and transport hub. You will see Galata Bridge and will walk around modern and old streets of Karakoy with tasting local foods such as simit,tea,soup,etc…
Tophane Parki
Then you will continue to visit Tophane where was the city’s oldest industrial zone to do manufacturing cannons and cannonballs during the Ottoman period. You will see Kılıç Ali Paşa Mosque built by the Ottoman Kaptan-i Derya Kılıç Ali Pasha and designed by the renowned architect Mimar Sinan and Tophane Fountain.

5.00Great tour guide! All the spots we went to were very local, varied, and tasty. The tour guide gave us info about each restaurant and dish, their history, etc. He even asked us about our dietary restrictions when we first met him! Absolutely recommended.

5.00The food as amazing as I had expected, but I was also pleased that the entire experience went on without a hitch. Traveling to a new country (a bit embarrassing since my parents are Turkish...), I expected some things to go wrong as this was a fresh experience, but my food tour of Istanbul was smoother than I ever could have expected. I'm a big seafood guy, and I was very happy when we got to the fish market, and when I had several helpings of clams. Overall, the experience I had truly tasting my own cultures food for the first time is one I will be chasing when I come back again.

5.00I loved my experience with Özkan. He’s a great tour guide. He showed my cousin and I a lot of cool places that matched our interests and was a quick thinker. I did the tour during Eid and a lot of things were closed which presented difficulties for him but he figured it out and as a result, we were able to have a great time. He tailored the tour of foods to try based on our preferences. I had the best mantı ever, tried Raki for the first time, tried a lot of new and a lot of things I already loved. I loved the trip across the Bosphorus and how patient he was with us when we kept stopping for pictures and videos. I would do another tour with him when I visit Turkey again!
