What To Expect

Ready for a challenge? Let us leave the city asphalt for a wonderful nature experience. Our electric mountainbikes takes us to the viewpoint at Keiservarden 360 meter above sea level. At the top and after a snack, we follow some fun and fairly easy trails with a magnificent view from Sweden to the Lofoten islands. A challenge awaits with a narrow path on the first descent before it turns into a forest road. We adjust the degree of difficulty of the tour with the choice of route - and if it gets a bit to much for you at some spots, just get off the bike a few steps. Satisfaction guaranteed!

This is a great ride for all levels and the scenery is incredible. Highly recommend this tour and our guide Michael was great. The bikes are all in excellent condition. Definitely don’t want to miss.

It was fantastic with plenty of information, local history and the most scenic bike trip to the Kaiser mountain. Challenging paths down the mountain and a beautiful round the whole city and the harbor. The best introduction to Bodø carried out by a flight guide/bicycle guide with additional flight information.

We had a really enjoyable trip with the guide! The bicycles were great, and the overall experience was pleasant. However, if you have the time and energy, I would suggest discussing the route in more detail with the guide beforehand. During our trip, we ended up doing a shorter version with only one viewpoint, as the guide assumed we might be too tired. We did mention that we’d try to manage, and in the end, it turned out to be quite manageable. Overall, it was a nice experience, but I recommend clarifying the route in advance to make sure you get the full experience.

We did the e-mountain bike tour at the end of August, and it was spectacular! Ola was a fantastic guide and tailored the route for us intermediate mountain bikers. While the day was a bit gray, the views from the Kaisers Vaerden were amazing, as well as along the ridgeline behind. We took on some challenging single track (and some mud), but the bikes worked great both climbing and descending. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Norway, and we'd definitely come back and do more riding next time we are in the area.

I had a fantastic experience on this mountain e-bike ride. I am an experienced intermediate mountain biker--I like the climb, but am cautious on the downhills. Ilo--my guide--was patient and full of great tips to help me maximize my ride. He shared all the local history, and took me to beautiful vista points to see the splendor of Bodo. Highly recommend. I went on a Sunday morning, when most of the town is closed, and I was the only one on the ride. If you want more company, pick another day.

Absolutely amazing experience. The mountain bikes had powerful settings that whizzed us up the steep climbs with ease. Ola gave excellent instructions and support throughout, so even the mechanically disinclined, like myself, were able to operate the mountain bike with ease. Saw views of Sweden and Iceland from the top of the mountain, streams, & rich history. Empowering experience & a sure way to feel the magic of Bodo. Thank you, Ola!

Firstly, Ola is fabulous - what a lovely man. He tailored a trip for us - initially just me and my husband but willingly extended that to include two new 'cruise buddies' at fairly short-notice. He took the four of us out on an ebike tour to the top of the cliffs to enjoy beautiful views out to sea and down the coastline. None of us are regular cyclists and ages 50-70. The ebikes were great - really good quality - and Ola chose a route to suit us. We stopped at the Viking Ship museum for a snack enroute and enjoyed the whole experience - really great fun and good value. After that he drove us out to the Saltstraumen in his car, timing our trip to coordinate with the high tides for the best experience. It really is a unique spectacle and definitely worth combining with the bike ride if possible. The bike shop is really easy to find and an easy stroll from the cruise berths if you arrive on a ship. I highly recommend contacting Ola to plan your trip and thank him very much for a great day out. Apologies for posting this review 6-months after our trip. My wife and I had a fantastic eMountain Bike experience. The guide was very kind, friendly, and informative. The bikes were new and in excellent condition. Although the views were invisible due to the cold, foggy, and cloudy weather, we enjoyed every moment. We did not have mountain biking experience, but the electric feature of the bike made the experience comfortable and achievable.

Great outdoor adventure. We were fit but did not have a lot of mountain bike experience. Our guide was fantastic. We asked him to challenge us, and he did, but at the same time he was teaching us techniques and tracking our abilities. Very positive. The mountains were beautiful, unfortunately the cloud cover remained high on the mountains obscuring views of the waterways, but it was still completely worth it. We would absolutely do it again on our next trip.

The guide (and trainee guide) was quite good and made the trek easy. The trainee guide, in particular, showed off his knowledge of the geography and history of the area. The eBikes were good but not great. But they were good enough to help tremendously getting me to the top and back. I'm 70+ so I was just a bit slower than the others. The view on top of Kaiservarden was terrific... not to be missed! I'm not sure if they could improve anything except perhaps having, for oldsters like me, an ebike with the option of not pedalling. Oh, and the seats... I'm not used to the tiny seats, so my sit-bones got sore quickly. Overall, highly recommended, not only the trek, but an excellent organization.
