We are based in Sheffield, Tasmania the closest town to Cradle Mountain and our guides and drivers live in the area and know it all very well.

The eGuide Cradle Mountain transfer is an excellent and cost effective option and saves the need to hire a car in Tasmania which can be very expensive.
There is no need for a car if staying in one of the hotels at Cradle Mountain as no cars are allowed to enter. There is a free Cradle Mountain shuttle included in the National Park Pass that has several stops and terminates at Dove Lake.
We offer a transfer to Cradle Mountain from Launceston and available as another product.

The eGuide Cradle Mountain transfer to Launceston picks you up from your Cradle Mountain hotel or Cradle Mountain visitor time at a time and date that suits you. We then drive via Sheffield to Launceston. We drop you at Launceston Airport or any Launceston Hotel or accommodation in Launceston, Tasmania. You can connect to the Intercity bus to Hobart from Launceston. This makes it an easy and cost effective way to transfer to Hobart from Cradle Mountain.

1.00I've been looking forward to it for quite some time, and had booked it, but I got an email about a week ago saying that the shared shuttle service had been canceled, and a few days before I left Japan with all the flight and hotel arrangements, I had no choice but to ask for $360 for private transportation. I was charged from the same credit card as I had already paid for the shared shuttle, $90, and I didn't have to do anything, but I got another call the day before I used it and told me to go through the payment process again, so I bought another copy of the prepaid SIM data that I had used up and paid $270 for the shortfall. Then, in the cold with a light rain on the day, I rushed back from my walk to meet the appointed time, and the driver called to say I would be late at the meeting point. At first, we said 40 minutes, then waited for an hour… We waited, shivering, with nowhere to sit, and eventually arrived about an hour and 40 minutes late. The driver told me that David had made a huge mistake, and I couldn't blame him if it wasn't a driver's mistake, so I sat in silence. He was suggesting that I get a refund. Fortunately, I had quite a bit of time on my flight so I made it. The company then offered me a $180 refund and I asked for $270, but they declined because I had made it to the flight. David is in charge. I was also informed that this mistake was made by the driver and the driver was lying, but now I have no way of knowing which one is telling the truth and it doesn't matter. I hope it is a rare case, but there are times like this, so I recommend making arrangements with plenty of time. I certainly received the $180 refund. I also posted a similar review on Google Maps, which offered a full refund. Since the reviews.

5.00We engaged eguide for a local tour of Devonport and for transfer to Cradle Mountain and eventually to Launceston. Both Marie and Ian were fantastic - they were very warm and deeply knowledgeable. Ian is also a cricket tragic to boot! We went with two small children and both were very accommodative of the needs of the kids. Marie planned the Devonport itinerary with the kids in mind. My son gets a headache when travelling in cars over long distance or windy roads and Ian was so considerate and drove at a steady speed and took breaks to make him feel comfortable.

5.00Eguide provided a fantastic service and helped us through preparations for our overland track adventure. They set up a unique transfer for our group and were extremely responsive (even on the weekends at night time). They provided information and confirmation throughout the booking process and responded to me within minutes each time I had a query. Ian who was our driver was also great and provided a great service. They were punctual, vans were comfortable and felt like they were always contactable. I wished we booked eguide for our return transfer as the competitor we booked for the other transfer was sub par compared to eguide

5.00Great shuttle service to help with the logistics around walking the Overland track. David and the team communicate well, and their vehicles are reliable and comfortable. Excellent driving skills on a very windy road. We have used their service twice now and they never disappoint!

5.00We used eGuide for the return shuttle from the Overland Trail hike. Booking with them was great and they were extremely helpful. The driver was a gentleman who had incredible knowledge of the areas we were travelling through which made the drive back to Launceston fly. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

5.00Great company. David was excellent to deal with and was more than happy to help with any questions and issues we had. The service was efficient and saved us a lot of money. The overnight stay in Sheffield was good and allowed for an early start to the overland track. Ian our Mini bus driver was very friendly helpful and very punctual.
