What To Expect
Tighina Military Cemetery
First, stop after crossing the border. Tighina Military Cemetery.. This cemetery contains the graves of soldiers of many countries. In front of the monumental entrance, there stands a magnificent statue of General Potemkin, the lover-some say the husband-of Catherine the Great, who captured Bender fortress from the Ottomans.
Bendery Fortress
Bendery is an ancient marvelous city of Pridnestrovie on the right bank of the Dniester River (PMR. History of the city is closely intertwined with the modernity. The city center is very picturesque, where the quarters are primarily buildings of the late 19th – early 20th centuries. There are many historical and architectural monuments in the city, the pearl of the city is the Bendery Fortress.

Our guide Nick was very knowledgeable about the history of the region .. made a tremendous effort to explain in detail not only the important historical facts but also delved into the day to day life of the people living there.Enjoyed an unusual CANTEEN lunch and above all didn’t rush us in any way …thank you for a wonderful experience

5.00This was a fascinating day that truly showed off the history and unique situation of Transnistria! My guide, Ecaterina, was incredibly knowledgeable and immediately friendly and approachable, and she is fluent in English, Romanian, and Russian, so anyone travelling with her in Moldova is in safe hands in terms of communication! From the outstandingly well-preserved Bender Fortress to the Soviet-era monuments out of time that exist in Tiraspol, this trip showcases exactly what makes this place unlike anywhere else you’ve probably ever been! I want to add also that there was initially a slight mixup with my booking, and the company manager was incredibly professional and courteous, and offered me a full refund and to still take the tour free of charge - I couldn’t believe the kindness!

5.00We had the honour to participate in an individual tour to Transnistria and the KVINT cognac factory. With Nicolai at our side, we had the best guide and driver imaginable. We learned so much about the historical background as well as the geographical features of the country. Spontaneous requests were also responded immediately.
