5.00DO NOT LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR TOURS IN ROMANIA!!!! I am a solo, mostly seasoned, female traveler who values safety as well as experience. I honestly could not have picked a better guide. I found Marius on Viator and booked the Communism Investigation Tour. As I started looking for a tour operator to take me to Transylvania/Castles, Marius reached out (in Communist Comrade character) to let me know my tour was secured and should I require anything else please let him know. If you book tours online you know this is rare from a tour operator. I immediately looked at his other tours and told him I’d like to do the Transylvania Fortifications Tour and he got back to me with a good rate, especially for a solo traveler on a two-day overnight tour. If you appreciate a personalized touch, you will appreciate Marius. I never once felt uncomfortable as Marius is both professional and friendly in just the right amounts of both. He kept me informed at all times and let me know exactly where we were going. I don’t really write a lot of reviews but, honestly, Marius deserves it. Even after the Communism Investigation (on which I learned sooooo much information I never knew) he dropped me at a shop I wanted to visit and walked me all the way inside as he wanted to make sure I was safe and that I knew where to go and how to get back to my hotel before he left me. I cannot say enough about how great my visit to Romania was. I didn’t have a lot of time and without Marius I wouldn’t have seen half of what I was able to see. I will come back to Romania an I will book more tours with Marius.

5.00This tour started for me in Bucharest and took in two days throughout the Transylvania region. My guide, Marius Tatar made everything so easy to enjoy. Taking in the usual haunts of Peles, Bran, Brasov, Fagaras,Sighisoara (look for the yellow house), and other sites, we also made some special stops to places of particular interest to myself. Long forgotten military memorials gardens, 11c citadels that look like they were abandoned just yesterday. If history if your thing, this tour is for you. Comfortable, easy, and full of one amazing thing after the other. Thank you to Marius for the experience.
