This tour was good and well organized. The train ride was nice but a little underwhelming. You just need to sit back and relax because taking photos was challenging at best with all the window glare. There are USB (not C) ports that are tucked away under the tables, really hard to reach. After the train we were fortunate enough to see Kea Parrots up close and personal, a highlight of the day. Several other stops on the way back to Christchurch. Waterfalls and castle hill where we stopped for lunch which had many options. The guide was Friendly and informative and even got us back to Christchurch at 4:30 after a 7am start. Nice job!

The TranzAlpine train was absolutely wonderful—breathtaking views, smooth ride, and a fantastic way to see New Zealand’s stunning landscapes. It was the highlight of the day! However, the van tour afterward was quite long and, unfortunately, not very comfortable. While our driver was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, the ride itself felt drawn out and a bit tedious. If you’re someone who enjoys long drives, you might love it, but for me, it made the day feel a bit too stretched. Still, overall, a well-organized experience with beautiful scenery!

Exactly as listed and very enjoyable with great views at many stops and good exercise at Arthur's Pass and Castle Hill. Great guide/driver.

Cramped legs space on bus… otherwise a great excursion…. Views and experiences; food at Arthur’s Pass was surprisingly good…

A reasonable amount of walking especially for older folk. Scenery even in summer shows off the South Island grandeur. Food pricey on the train.
