We left in August 2025 in a group of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) for a two-day trek one night in Lencois. Easy contact with the agency. Sumptuous trekking and dream decor. Only negative: the guide jaded by his profession. He never wanted to walk at our pace (indicated from the start) 3km/h. He was speeding at four miles an hour without waiting for us. Trekking at the pace is a shame not to enjoy the scenery and adapt to the rhythm of everyone

To start, it was very easy to book and plan the trip using WhatsApp. Everything was perfect: we loved the hikes in the dunes and seeing beautiful sunsets, as well as overnight stays in the oasis where our hosts were very welcoming. Accommodation was confortable with tasty home cooked meals, we were very well taken care of! And thank you to our super cool guide Tav who knows the park so well.

I did the three-day crossing of Lençois Maranhenses with the East Coast and I highly recommend it. Kaline, owner of the agency, is always available to answer any questions and guide you regarding the tour, what to take and what not to take, etc. Júnior, who was the guide who accompanied us, is super cool, knows the region a lot, told us a lot of stories about the place and the people there, and it was great to go on the trail with him. Congratulations to Kaline and Júnior for the beautiful work.

Amazing, unforgettable, bucket-list, once-in-a-lifetime experience! We did this journey with our two children (ages 5 and 9) and it was INCREDIBLE -- the landscape was unlike any other we'd ever seen and the balance was perfect! We spent our time walking through the dunes, swimming in the green-turquiose lagoons, getting to know the local families, watching the moon/sun/stars rise, and sleeping on hammocks in the homes so generously opened to us by the local communities. In this way, it had the ideal mix of physical activity, rest, nature and local culture. The beauty was absolutely breathtaking and unlike any other we'd ever seen -- walking on the dunes before the sun rose --led only by the light of the moon-- made us feel like we were walking on the moon. Swimming in the lagoons and walking in the soft sand made us feel like we were walking in heaven on Earth. Which brings me to Costa Leste EcoAventura, which is more than just a super professional ecotourism agency - it is also locally owned and a force for upholding and strengthening local culture. It invites travelers to travel conscientiously and guides us to support the business run by locals, to get to really know the food, the history, and the responsibility we share in protecting this treasure of humanity. Most importantly, the love they have for this magical place and for the work they do is resoundingly clear in all their interactions -- they'll go above and beyond to make sure your interests/needs are met and point you in the right direction always. Last but certainly not least -- one of the biggest gifts we received in our trip was Raimundo Cleyton, our guide, who we will never ever forget. Raimundo left his mark on each of us and we all cried when the time came to say goodbye. He's incredibly knowledgeable and moves with beautiful energy and love. He'll talk you through history, culture, astronomy, biology. He'll introduce you to secret fruits, swimming holes and, if you're lucky like we were, even plan a few surprises along the way. We were all so moved by the chance to experience this together -- it changed us, reset us, and made us feel forever spiritually connected to the space, stories and people we met along the way. Our best advice: GO! Let Costa Leste guide you and then cross your fingers and hope you have the chance to experience the dunes under the care of Raimundo!

Even in the early rainy season a top experience with meditative hikes through white sand dunes, cooling in rivers and lagoons. Simple but nice accommodation/dining:) Even the Christmas days alone with Raimundao as an attentive funny guide are a treat;)

The landscapes of Lencois Maranhenses are otherworldly! The trek is phenomenal and even an almost meditative, spiritual experience. The only problem was the guide Raimundo. For as acclaimed as he is, he left us at the end of the first day in order to go back to Barreirinhas in order to take on another group. It was obvious that he got a phone call and was in a big hurry to get to the first night's destination and ditch us as soon as he could. Luckily, he left us with a guide from a local family. Fraiginho was very friendly and patient and thus was wonderful. Luckily, since he didn't speak any English, the one other trekker in our group, besides my wife and I, was Brazilian and could interpret for us. Otherwise, we would have been left without a way to communicate with the guide.

Words are lacking to describe this experience that the East Coast has provided us. It far exceeded our best expectations. From Kaline's super attentive, helpful and cordial care, to the trekking by the fantastic Raimundão and Anderson, it was all more than perfect! Everything carefully organized, always concerned to provide us with the best experience, and details that surprised us from beginning to end. Many thanks to the East Coast team for the friendly experience we will bring to life! We will be back, for sure!

We made a 3 days and 2 nights trek through the desert of Lençois passing from dune to dune and lagoon to lagoon each always more beautiful than the last. This vast expanse of unspoilt sand provides a sensation of freedom and fantastic well-being never felt anywhere. It is still important to have a minimum of physical condition and be very well equipped against the sun which is very strong! Sleeping with the natives was great! We were always very well received and pampered! Millions of little surprises that I let you discover throughout the trek! Last but not least, the Raymondo Guide was great and great! A true passionate and in love with his region (he was born there) he knows his area like no one and will make you discover the natural park in an incredible way, so in love that despite the difficulties you will fall in love too! Very attentive and very considerate, it was just PERFECT!

It was an incredible experience that I had never lived before. Know this paradise detail by detail just doing this trekking right. Definitely recommend, it was an unforgettable trip in a surreal scenario of cinema. Congratulations to the East Coast ecoaventura team, especially Kaline and our guide Faguinho. I wish you success!
