We enjoyed every minute of our tour with Fazli. The small size of our group was ideal, and everything was scheduled with our comfort and interests in mind. Fazli took care of our every need and made it possible to extend our trip to include more time in Turkey. Fazil took care of the changes in travel, including our flights, transportation to and from the airport, and changes required at our hotel. It all went without a hitch or a hassle. It made our trip wonderful. We were delighted.

Let's start with important stuff. Our guide and our driver. Our guide was brilliant! His knowledge of each site, places to eat, places to stay, I don't know how you could improve that. Fazil also knew when to be at a place. This meant we had more time at each site before the big crowds showed up. Our driver, Mr Fevsi, was great! Got us to all our destinations safely, knew the route like the back of his hand. Kept out chariot clean and ready to roll. The itenerary covered so many amazing places it's hard to say which was my favorite. Troy, Cappadocia were marvelous. But the museums in Instabul, Gaezientep, and Urfa were superb. Fazil knew the best place for bacalva, spices, coffee, outside of the toursit traps. Turkey is truly a remarkable country. And some of their best ambassadors are the Anatolian Shepherd dogs who wander freely. These are not abused or starving animals, rather, they are free wanderers and seemingly well looked after by their local communities. We met many, well fed and friendly dogs. Overall, the small group tour is the way to go. And Serendipity offers a unique experience you will treasure for a lifetime. Great job and Thank you!

A couple of days ago my husband and I returned from the 14 day Treasures of Ancient Turkey Tour with Serendipity Tours and our guide and host Fazli. If you like culture, food, history, and archaeology, or any combination of these, this is the tour for you. We loved every moment and the tour far exceeded our expectations. The archaeological and historical sites were a dream and Fazli knew how to avoid peak times and the crowds. The hotels were lovely, and some were truly outstanding e.g. the Cappadocia cave hotel and the Kusadasi hotel. We are both vegetarian and Fazli always made sure this was always accommodated for (Turkey is a very good country for veggies). Fazli is an excellent guide, patient, knowledgeable, every detail was considered and taken care of, and worth his weight in gold as a translator and negotiator. Our lovely driver was efficient and very careful. We would love to return one day and complete the Eastern Turkey Tour. I think we were also quite lucky with the weather in November, warm and sunny (although we packed mostly jumpers!). Our bellies and hearts are full, thank you Fazli – Janine & Dean

I was nervous about signing on with a tour advisor that I did not know. I was afraid about sending money from my USA bank directly to an unknown bank in Turkey! In retrospect it was one of the best decisions of my life; I am 79 years old and have been on over 40 tours. Fazli, the person behind Serendidpidity, was the BEST tour guides I have ever worked with. He is knowledgeable, energetic, helpful, flexible, and personable. That is one hell of a combination! I would definately do it again. I had done extensive research on the sites we visited. He was familiar with most of my sources and was able to add additional insights - both sourced and speculative. He knew the differnce between the two. He is extraordinarly well-read. He had even met many of the archeologists that worked on some of the sites that tourists visit. In addition to the tours, he was helpful when I needed a dentist or even a chapstick. Now that is service with a smile!!

Fazil was an amazing and super-knowledgeable guide who made this archaeological tour one to remember. I was originally just planning to visit Tas Tepeler but decided to take in more of Turkey’s history — and I’m so glad I did. I’ve always been more into the pre-pottery era than the Roman or Ottoman side, but Fazil’s storytelling completely drew me in. He added so many interesting little details and was always quick with thoughtful answers to every question. Big thanks as well to Fevci, our hardworking driver who kept everything running smoothly. The local restaurants Fazil chose for lunch were fantastic, and every hotel was excellent — especially the one in Cappadocia. He also planned the days so we could hit all the highlights without getting stuck in crowds. This was truly a trip of a lifetime. Serendipity Tours was a great choice, and I’m already thinking about booking another adventure with Fazil in the future!

I traveled across Turkey with my brother-in-laws to primarily visit Gobekli Tepe. Instead I experience more of Turkey than I could have imagined. Our tour guide, Fazil Karabacak, provide insight at all our stops and gave us some interesting stories of the places and things we visited. Turkey is a beautiful country with a varied terrain that at time could be difficult to walk or climb. No matter, the effort it is worth the results. I have traveled to many ancient sites and Turkey was one of the best and this 14-day tour is on the top of my list. I must warn those that are interested that this tour is not for individuals requiring a wheel chair or has difficulty walking 3-5 miles a day. Many of the sites have no handrails for stepping uphill or downhill. Some of the ancient sites have uneven paths. I would not discourage anyone from this trip, it is just good information to know. The cost of food in Turkey is extremely reasonable. Lunch could be as little as five dollars a meal and dinner between ten and twenty dollars (not counting drinks) Traveling to locations could be long day for a couple of segments so bring a good book to read.

We had a wonderful time on our one week tour from Istanbul visiting Globekli Tepe as well as other ancient sites. We continued on to Mt. Nemrut and to Cappadocia. Everything was very well organized from being picked up at the airport, to being driven to the various location with a very safe driver. Our guide Fazli was exceptional, being very knowledgeable giving us facts and entertaining stories about the places and the history. He also paid particular attention to our dietary needs and allergies making our dining easy. All the hotels and restaurants chosen were very good and unique. We highly recommend this tour.
