Come experience the only old-growth tree climbing activity in the State of Washington and create some unforgettable memories. This is your chance to do something not even .1% of the population has done, but now you can. In small-groups climb together on 1-4 trees between 100 and 200 feet high, depending on your athletic level. Some of the trees are even rare old-growth trees. See the unique perspective above the canopy and feel what it's like to be eye level with an eagle as you climb/swing around like a monkey through the open air and catch branches, while safely harnessed by rope. Climb your way up some of the tallest trees in the world to amazing views of the upper canopy, mountains, and ocean. Connect to nature like you have never done before, beyond the trail.
During this activity you will explore the special ecology of old-growth trees and its importance in our environment and so much more.

We climb as a group on multiple trees, between 100 and 200 feet high on a mix of rare old-growth trees and 2nd growth trees. Depending on the group and the climbers' ability, you will ascend one to 4 trees. Climbing 20 stories up in Coastal Douglas Fir Trees offers a shocking perspective and views few have ever seen. Spectacular views of mountains, wildlife, and ocean await you at the tope of the canopy. No experience necessary must be 8 years or older. Learn how to climb up really big trees with ascenders until you reach the branches. Then you can branch climb to the top of the canopy! The ascender technique is similar to doing a squats. Wear athletic clothes, long pants that cover ankles, and athletic shoes. It is a good idea to also wear clothes that you do not mind getting dirty or damaged. All other equipment will be provided. The tree canopy climbing experience is a progression. You will start first by receiving all of your equipment, followed by safety talks, learning about the equipment, learning how to use the equipment, and then you will start climbing! We keep it simple and easy to make sure you are having fun, learning and especially staying safe.

I’m terrified of heights so this was an opportunity for me to overcome that. Brandon did a terrific job of allowing everyone to go at their own pace. He was very encouraging to the group who were all new to tree canopy climbing. The safety instruction at the beginning was very thorough and he did not begin until everyone understood how to use their equipment. We even did a test run on a small tree to get the hang of it. The views at the top were incredible! Amazing experience that I will never forget!

Heavily relied on climbing with ascenders which requires some physical fitness and coordination. Excellent instruction and focus on safety, enough that we could assemble and disassemble our entire equipment repertoire on our own. It is nice to have long pants in order to avoid drapes from the tree or ropes.

We had a blast with our guide! I'm terrible with names, but I believe it was Brandon. He was a great instructor: informative, easy to understand, patient, and very calm. My group size was about 6. This still gave my new wife and me ample "space" to have a special experience while also feeling the comradery and joy of being with others. The intimacy with the old growth trees and special views from that angle were so memorable. But also...we just really enjoyed the conversation with the guide. It was great to have a few hours with a local to the islands who made us feel genuinely welcome.

Leo our guide was great and interesting and funny. Made us all feel safe and capable. New appreciation for some forest facts we didn’t know. Very bonding experience for family to be all swaying gently together at the top of the tree. Highly recommend!

Awesome experience! Challenging enough to make it interesting, but still very accessible for novice climbers. and of course on a clear day the views are spectacular. Brandon was great. His instructions were clear and he was very laid-back while still being safety conscious.

Brandon was just awesome! His passion for tree climbing was contagious. After a mixup with our booking, he stayed late to accommodate us and did so cheerfully! He displayed so much patience and used multiple strategies to make sure we both were able to get up in the tree. Plus the trees were gorgeous. I would recommend this to anyone.

Brandon was awesome! Very cool experience! We didn’t know what to expect and weren’t disappointed. Brandon made us feel safe and was patient with our kids. Also I left my phone and he was very kind to bring it to us.
