What To Expect
Get to know the Vinciguera Glacier and the Iceberg Lagoon! This 7-hour trek takes us through a wide variety of incredible landscapes and views. But that's not all, if the weather conditions allow it, the journey continues over the Glacier itself. Enjoy walking on this ice giant in search of a sinkhole that allows us to enter its interior and appreciate its ice formations. During the journey, peat valleys, melting rivers, subantarctic forests and the wonderful colors of the mountain environment stand out. Enjoy an epic day in the mountains with specialists. Activity itinerary - 8:00 We leave your hotel in Ushuaia with our transfer - 9:00 Start of the walk - 12:00 Arrival at the foot of the Vinciguerra Glacier - 12:30 Lunch and Ice Trekking with crampons on the glacier - 13:30 Return - 16:00 End of departure

5.00Patagon and our guide Carolina was exceptional in deliver a fabulous experience in walking/hiking to the Vicinguerra Glacier. We aren't youngsters any more but Carolina gave us perfect attention and care and ensured a perfect pace so that we could climb the path to the glacier. Steep, muddy and difficult in places but the effort was worthwhile for the magnificent views and the terrific experience. The walk might be considered challenging depending upon experience. The underfoot conditions may vary dramatically, but our walk was very muddy both through the peat bog and also up through the forest. The estimate was for 7 to 8 hours and I guess we were 7, including time for lunch. The views of the surrounding mountains was fabulous. Once again though, we enjoyed the company of Carolina our guide and appreciated her care, knowledge and humour.

5.00If you want to live an experience in Patagonia, immersed in nature and the mountains, this is WITHOUT A DOUBT your place. PATAGON is a wonderful agency specialized in experiences with Patagonian nature. It has expert mountain guides (who are also rescuers) who know the area like the back of their hand. I did the trekking to the Ojo del Albino and Vinciguerra glaciers. It is not only the kindness of the guides that hooks you, but also how attentive they are to each person in the group. They make sure that each person has everything they need and they also provide specialized equipment such as crampons and helmets when the weather requires it. They also provide food on treks. In addition, they also have an afternoon-night plan in a dome in the middle of the forest with an exquisite dinner and a magical place! It is without a doubt a unique experience. If you go to Ushuaia, experience its nature with PATAGON. They will take with them the living magic of nature and an experience that is kept in the soul.
