Very well organized and a pleasant adventure into the arctic bay. Food was perfectly prepared and enjoyable.

The boat and staff were great, the meal was very disappointing- tiny starter (struggled to find the herring), main dish arctic cod was ok but cold, and could have done with more veggies and a carb like potatoes or rice, bread was dry and stale. Dessert, pancetta, was nice. Most importantly, and probably should have led with this, we were lucky enough to seethe Aurora Borealis, so were pretty at the end of the night.

Lovely crew, terrible three course meal. Spartan starter, soupy main with stale sourdough and with the cloud cover there was no possibility of seeing the Northern Lights. They really need to sort out the three course dinner because that could improve the trip significantly.

The cruise was a fabulous experience including a very nice 3 course dinner. The boat was of a high standard, but the most impressive thing about the night was the service from the crew who were exceptional at all stages. They went out of their way to help, particularly regarding the northern lights, and as a result, we got some wonderful photos. Thanks to Andrea and Francesca. I would highly recommend booking with Aurora cruises.

The ship is modern, comfortable, safe, and spacious. The menu is good, and they offer a selection of wines. It’s a romantic and very enjoyable experience—worth it for that alone. We were lucky to have clear skies and witness the Northern Lights show. Crew was kind and very helfull. We loved it!

We had a reservation for a dinner, aurora borealis cruise, with Brim Explorer, leaving @19:00. We left our hotel with what should been plenty of time to make the boat. Due to an unfortunate miscommunication on the directions we had we from our hotel, we lost 40min in transit. Upon realizing the mistake we frantically began trying to contact Brim to inform the of our situation. Contacting Brim turned out to be very difficult, they have no easily findable phone number, it's pages deep on their website. All of our attempts with their number by call or text or by Whats app or by email, were met with no response. We arrived @19:15 to find the boat gone and the office closed. Had we been able to contact Brim, we could have informed them we were close and they could have waited 15min to start a 4hr cruise. They chose to leave @ 19: 05. 5 min.So we lost our 1 opportunity to see the aurora in a fjord and the associated cost of course as we will never be in Norway again. We have been in contact with Brim regarding some recompence for the lost experience to no avail. A tour operator must have an easier way to be contacted in case of these types of circumstances. We have been on numerous tours in remote places,ie the Amazon jungle, and have always been able to contact the company through Whats app or by call or text from an EASILY findable number on their website. It should also be stated on the site that the departure time is sharp and there will be absolutely no waiting for any reason. I believe that had Brim responded to any of our multiple attempts at communication, they might have waited 15 min to start a 4hr trip. They did not. At the very least they should update website with an obvious contact number, get What's app capability and a statement regarding their inflexibility.

I booked this tour months in advance and was very excited about it. I booked based on the great reviews. The confirmation email had no contact phone number on it nor did it provide any detailed instructions on how to find the meeting location except a link to google maps. We left our hotel in Tromso for the tour at 17:40 pm Brim tour was to start at 19:00. Due to not knowing what bus stop to get off on we spent 90 minutes getting to the tour location. Upon realizing our mistake we contacted them via email (which is all we had been given) at exactly 19:00 to say we were on the way. They left at exactly 19:05 without us. We arrived at the location ten minutes later or 19:15. Stay away from this company they do not have a phone number accessable on whats ap, they do not provide any means of urgent contact on your confirmation are completely unsympathetic to any customers that have any kind of issues related to finding them and are unwilling to accept any feedback on what they could do to mitigate this happening in the future. The bottom line is we spent 90 minutes trying to get to our tour we were 15 minutes late and left at the dock and the companies posture after that has been completely unsympathetic to our ordeal and more importantly unwilling to look at any measures they could take to prevent this in the future. My opinion of Brim Explorer could not be any lower I would give zero stars of I could. Their attitude could not be any less customer service oriented.

The business was good, the main dish was totally miserable, the dessert was straightforward. The information along the way was absolutely super

We had a great Aurora Dinner Cruise at the end of March 2025. Staff was very attentive and we were lucky to see some of the strongest aurora's of our trip due to the captain cruising us to the right spots (and some luck). But we are most happy with the Brim Explorers booking service. We had some issues with our booking trough our third party travel agent, but direct contact with Brim Explorer made it much easier and ensured that we could enjoy the excursion we hoped for.

Really far too expensive for an excessively light meal, a very light starter 2 unfortunate pieces of bread, a very ordinary dish, no cheese, a Panna Cotta, Supermarket for dessert. Just two cups of a low-end sparkling wine and when asked if you can have two extra pieces of bread, they tell you there are none. The boat ride is certainly pleasant but again it is certainly not worth the price. In addition the boat remained stationary for a long time.
