Our Tromsø Husky Self-Drive Sledding experience with Arctic Adventure Tours AS in Tromsø was absolutely incredible and one of the highlights of our trip to Norway. From the moment we arrived, the team was professional, organized, and safety-focused. They gave careful attention to every participant, making sure we understood the journey and felt comfortable before heading out. We were also provided with warm clothing to change into, which ensured everyone stayed comfortable in the Arctic conditions. The dog sledding adventure itself was exhilarating. The dogs are clearly very well cared for, energetic, and eager to run, which made the experience even more special. All of the sledding equipment was modern, well maintained, and easy to handle, helping everyone feel confident on the trail. We brought a group of seven people, including a 78-year-old, and every single person said this was their absolute favorite activity of the entire trip. After the ride, we loved spending time in the traditional Lavvu tent, warming up with delicious cake and hot beverages while enjoying the cozy atmosphere. The owner was also very informative and happy to answer questions, adding an educational element to the adventure. If you’re visiting Tromsø and looking for a truly memorable Arctic experience, this is it. Highest recommendation for anyone in the area.

Really well organised, good fun, and they care a lot for the dogs. No problem with pickup and return.

The afternoon was absolutely flawless. From the collection onwards everything was superbly organised. The sledding itself is amazing. It feels extremely authentic to be out in the wild with the dogs and with the snow coming come. The kit provided kept you totally snug (especially after helping push the sled up some slopes!). Just over an hour felt right. You take to it quite quickly so by the end you really lapping up everything around you. We were a full group and we split into two which meant we had a perfect pace and the environment felt like a proper Arctic wilderness. The staff were great. The instruction was comprehensive without being over-powering and afterwards being served hot chocolate and delicious cake was a great reward. And of course a shout out for the stars of the show, the dogs. We had a great opportunity to interact with them and they were wonderful. This is memory I will take home the most from our Tromso adventure I think.

Absolutely wonderful. The organisation was perfect, and the team were so friendly and helpful. The sledding was fantastic, and well planned (no massive uphills!). The dogs were so well cared for, and we had lots of time to pet them before and after the sledding. Really brilliant.

This was a highlight of our trip to Tromso. I am actually quite scared of dogs so was nervous about husky sledding, however I need not have worried. The staff are amazing and immediately put you at ease. The dogs are loved and well looked after. After some brief training, we were led to our pack of dogs and the sled. Taking it in turns to drive, it was surprisingly easy and the dogs were clearly having a great time too. The scenery was amazing - we could've spent the whole day out on the snow. After the sledding, it was time for a hot drink and a delicious piece of cake, while a member of staff told us all about the dogs. It was an incredible way to spend an afternoon and is highly recommended. Would love to do it again!

Absolutely incredible experience! Dress warmly but not to worry if you forget anything, they have it available to borrow. I wish I could have taken a retired dog home with me. They clearly have wonderful lives and all of the people training them are so welcoming and helpful, answering all of your questions. I wish I could do this every day. The experience is one my husband and I will never forget.

This is a well organized outfitter. They picked us up ( a few minutes late) then took us to the compound about 40 minutes away. They have over 200 dogs, so they are well prepared to handle the groups. When you arrive, they will give you appropriate clothing, boots then a short explanation on how to drive the dogs. It's absolutely amazing. The dogs are extremely well trained. The drive is beautiful. They stop a few times so you can alternate between driver and passenger. After you can play with the dogs, who are extremely well trained. Then into a latvuu for hot chocolate and cakes. Awesome!

What an exciting experience! We were picked up on time in a very nice van. The operators were knowledgeable & spoke beautiful English. They gave very thorough instructions on how to operate the sled. We went through some of the most picturesque landscapes we’ve ever seen. It was far beyond our expectations. Highly recommend this tour! You’ll have wonderful memories & pictures to look back on.

One of the best things I've even done! Absolutely wonderful experience. The dogs are so happy and enthusiastic, and it is the most magical way to witness the Arctic landscape. You need some level of fitness to keep up, so this is worth bearing in mind but the guides are very helpful and the dogs are wonderful.
