What To Expect

Cataratas Llanos de Cortes

Llanos de Cortez is one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful waterfalls. The falls are wide and wispy, with thin streams of water tumbling along the mossy rocks. Rocky cliffs are visible through the transparent cascade, thick forest surrounds the fall and at the base of the falls is a nice pool that is good for swimming or wading, and there is a sandy area to just hang out and relax.

Heliconias Hanging Bridges Trails

Heliconias has an access to one of the most important activities in Costa Rica, visit a Real Tropical Rain Forest… with 3 amazing hanging bridges that traverse the forest canopy ranging from 35 to 40 meters in height.. At the slopes of the Tenorio Volcano, this two-hour hike with many stops to see the variety of flora and fauna in the surrounding evergreen jungle will astonish you.

Wendy communicated very well when booking! We visited Heliconias Tropical Rainforest, the Coffee and Sloths Tour, and Llanos del Cortez Waterfall! Our guide, Greivin, was friendly and highly experienced and the driver, Adonay, was helpful and kind. As a solo traveler, I felt connected and engaged throughout the tour.

After months of planning we finally took the trip to the rainforest. Caesar our guide expertly navigated us through all the stops. Lunch was fantastic - eat a light breakfast because the food served at lunch was delicious and a lot of it. There's many options to pick from, but this Costa Rican owned and operated tour won't disappoint.

Great adventure. Waterfall was pretty but the rainforest hike and wildlife were lamazing! We saw many sloths, snakes and birds. Abraham and Angelica were terrific guides. We did have a mix up with transportation in the morning but the company made it right and paid for uber to get me to the connecting point. Excellent service by Jose. Thanks for the recovery.

Outstanding and enjoyable experience. From the time of the pickup at our resort to the end of the day, my small group of seven received the best educational experience from our Unique Tours group leader. Costa Rica doesn't have an Army, but Frank the Tank has built an army of very skillful, knowledgeable, caring, fun-loving, and experienced tour guides. Harold was incredible! So knowledgeable and we saw sloths and toucans and lots of wildlife! We learned so much about the culture (coffee bean roasting and cacao beans). Such an amazing tour company !

This excursion was everything we could have hoped for. Well run by our knowledgeable and personable tour guide Ernesto, we learned much more than we thought we would! The waterfall experience 10 out of 10! Coffee and cocoa tour was informative and fun. The rainforest hike with the hanging bridges was quintessential Costa Rica. The lunch provided was delicious, and the sloth sanctuary tour was just amazing. We loved every minute of it!

Ray and our driver Pablo took care of our group all day. They went above and beyond and spent more time so we could see as many animals as we could even though it made their days longer. We also had the opportunity to go see a chocolate and coffee farm which was fascinating. The lunch that we received was one of the best on our entire trip to Costa Rica. The group size wasn’t too big and was fun. We got to see everything we wanted to in Costa Rica in one day! Thanks Ray and Pablo!
