What To Expect
Truffle hunting in Valle d'Itria - (ALBEROBELLO , LOCOROTONDO , FASANO , MARTINA F.) or in the Alta Murgia Park (ALTAMURA , CASSANO) is an unmissable experience for lovers of nature and Apulian gastronomy. It is an activity led by expert truffle hunters who, together with their trained dogs, will take you to discover the woods and areas where the truffle grows. The experience also includes the tasting of fresh truffles, combined with typical local products, also available the vegan and vegetarian variant. 5.00This experience was truly magical! I was looking for something unique to do in the Puglia region. This event exceeded my expectations.. The kindness and warmth of Gaetano and Annalisa, along with the excitement of following the dogs Zara and Luna through the beautiful forest as they located many truffles, made it a wonderful late afternoon and evening. Then the delicious and plentiful dinner (served with truffles in many different ways) prepared and presented by Annalisa at a picnic table in a clearing in the woods- put it over the top! Highly recommended!

5.00Amazing authentic and unique experience during our vacation to Puglia. Host was kind enough to pick us up and drop us back off in Monopoli for a total of approx 3h. It was an easy walk in the woods with our group of 8 people, even with a baby carrier on. The experience was followed by a generous dreamy truffle meal in the field with the dogs. We even got to keep our found truffles and leave with a gift!! Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a unique experience.

5.00The truffle hunt with lunch in the woods was a magical adventure! The walk with Gaetano and the three joyful puppies was relaxing and educational! The lunch prepared by Annalisa was special, featuring typical Apulian products and truffles that were the common thread of the entire day! We chose this experience to celebrate our dad's birthday, who was very surprised and truly delighted by the warmth, professionalism, and friendliness of Gaetano and Annalisa! They seemed to have been family forever. Thank you again, it was a beautiful day 😍 We highly recommend it!!!

5.00One of the most magical experiences we had in Italy! From the very beginning, everything felt authentic, relaxed and beautifully organized. The truffle hunting itself was amazing watching the dogs search for freshly hidden truffles in the peaceful forest was such a unique experience (and honestly adorable 🐶🍄). After the hunt, we had an incredible outdoor tasting surrounded by nature. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful: rustic tables in the woods, candles, flowers, wine and golden evening light everywhere. It felt like a scene from a movie. The food was delicious and very generous with truffles fresh truffle pasta, local cheeses, mushrooms, desserts and wine pairings. You could really taste the quality and freshness of everything. We especially loved the pasta with freshly shaved truffle on top. The hosts were warm, passionate and made the whole experience feel personal rather than touristy. It was the perfect mix of adventure, amazing food and slow Italian countryside vibes. Highly recommended for couples, food lovers and anyone wanting a truly memorable experience in Puglia. We would absolutely do it again! 🤍🍷

5.00Do not miss this experience!! It was magical from start to finish!! Starting with a walk through the woods to a beautiful table setting !! It was a feast; traditional meats, cheeses, focaccia, olives, truffle chips and wine. Annalise made deliciously moist chicken and truffle balls, pasta with truffles and a cream filled sponge ball that was out of this world. The truffle hunting with the dogs was wonderful!! Great way to walk off your meal!! Through the woods with Luna and Zara as they successfully sniffed out and dug for the truffles. We learned all about truffles and took some home.

5.00Super beautiful and authentic experience in the heart of the Itria Valley! We started with a picnic / lunch really hearty and varied, all based on local products: genuine flavors and many truffle specialties that we could also taste, really good. In addition, they also offered us other truffle products, a gem really appreciated! After eating, we went for a walk in the woods with two very good truffle dogs. It was too interesting to see them at work: with their incredible nose they guided us in the search for truffles and we were able to witness the whole process firsthand. The best thing is that they made us take home the truffles found by the dogs! Throughout the experience we also chatted with the guides, who were super helpful: they answered all our questions and curiosities, making it even more interesting. It created a very intimate and welcoming atmosphere, which we really enjoyed. Super relaxed climate, great organization and very easygoing atmosphere. A different experience than usual, perfect for those who want to be in nature and discover something typical of the place. Highly recommended!

5.00Gaetano and his family were wonderful. His wife cooked the best meal of our trip and we enjoyed it in the beautiful countryside of Italy. They were so welcoming, even though their daughter didn’t speak English our children played with her and a had a great time. Our kids also loved playing with the dogs prior to the truffle hunt. The roads to get to our location were very narrow and being from the US, we weren’t use to driving the narrow paths so Gaetano helped us get the car into the spot. I can’t speak highly enough of the food, everything had truffle but also had its own unique taste. They also made a special plate of pasta for the kids that was more simple so they’d enjoy it. When we took the dogs out on the truffle hunt we found some right away and took 5 nice sized ones home with us. It was so fun watching them work and enjoy a stroll in nature . Gaetano answered all our questions and was flexible when we ran a bit late. This was a great family experience that we all enjoyed. I highly recommend!

5.00We were greeted by very kind people, nice and super helpful. The absolute protagonists, in addition to them, were the dogs (Zara, Luna and Puntina): beautiful, sweet and very good in the search for the white truffle. The experience began with about an hour of hiking in the woods, looking for truffles, accompanied by their beautiful dogs. It was all really engaging, authentic and fun. After the walk, the day ended in the best way with a hearty "aperitif" (a lunch), prepared by them, all based on truffles and local products. We ate everything: truffle focaccia, truffle tagliolino, various products, cold cuts, cheeses and even dessert. Everything was excellent. We practically rolled out. An original, well-kept and really pleasant experience, which I highly recommend to those who love nature, truffles and good food.

5.00I have been in Europe for about six weeks. Mainly Albania, also Germany and Italy for a few days. By far this has been the most engaging and memorable experience of them all. Your hosts are wonderful but the real stars here are the truffle hunting dogs--Luna, Mia, and Tony. Churches, castles, stone streets are all great. Hunting Truffles in the scenic woods of Italy is something you won't forget!
