Bali Diving Academy has a fixed diving center in Tulamben, allowing us to have some of the best dive guides on the area, living on location and totally familiar with the reef and its inhabitants. Groups are kept small in numbers so that every diver will have the attention required.

We recommend this dive site especially for beginners because the current is usually gentle around the sites and the experience is truly amazing.

What To Expect

This area is famous for the magnificent US Liberty Wreck (one of the most accessible wrecks in the world. Perfect for beginners 12 years old and up. The day will start with pick up from your hotel (around 8 am) or meet directly at our dive shop. There our experienced instructor will help you learn the basic of diving through a pool session. After that you will be able to go for 1or 2 guided dives (depending on your choice) and explore the wonders of the underwater world. A local lunch in between the dives is provided (if 2 dives option is picked). Price is all inclusive of: • Pick up from your hotel • Pool session with PADI Instructor + 1 or 2 dives in Tulamben region • Full set of diving equipment • Cylinders and weights • Set of lunch menu and mineral water (when 2 dives are done) • Community contributions • Porter and parking park fees

We had a lot fun diving in a wonderful site (amazing richness of corals, anemones and fishes, cristal warm water), thanks to the professional, friendly and helpful guidance of our dive master Putu, good equipment and perfect organization. We are a family with two teenagers and the dives were enjoyable and interesting for everyone: we even saw a big turtle from up close!!!

Two beautiful shore dives to easily reach the wreck "USAT Liberty Shipwreck" with Putu's careful and wise guidance. Fish, crustaceans, hard and soft corals, anemones, giant tridacnas, multicolored waxers, sponges, nudibranchs that envelop the wreck and the surroundings. Countless sand eels stand out from the nearby sandy bottom. What else can I say? A wonderful day surrounded by so much beauty! Super recommended! I conclude with these last two dives after a series made with the various locations of Bali diving academy (Sanur, Lembongan, Pemuteran, Tulanben). I thank Bali diving academy for having accompanied me and introduced me to the most beautiful dives in Bali.
Great knowledgeable dive guides that we’ve able to point out small Crabs, Shrimp. And Nudibranchs.

We arranged to dive with Bali Dive Academy before we left Australia - they arranged a package of 3 nights accommodation, 3 dives on the Liberty wreck (including a night dive) and 2 dives in Amed.a a driver met us at the airport and drove us to Tulamben. The company was very professional, on time and the diving was brilliant. I recommend diving the Liberty wreck early morning to avoid the crowds.... and the night dive is an experience! Our dive master Katuk was great - good fun and informative. He removed plastic from the coral which was good to see... we saw an abundance of ocean life - turtle, many small nudis and fish... recommended.
