Amazing food tour + cultural explanations, what the Japanese typically have and a bit of history! George the guide was knowledgeable, nice and always happy to reply to my questions on Japanese language! Maji Umai (not sure if that’s the spelling)

If I could give Kawa more stars than five, I would have. He perfectly curated the foods based on preferences and appetite and the two hours just flew by. I highly recommend this tour for foodies because at 8:30 in the morning things have not yet gotten crazy busy.

  • Tsukiji Food Tour with Tomo was terrific!

    - Review from Viator

Tomo was an adorable tour guide who shared her knowledge of the many items we saw & tasted and asked further questions on my behalf to the stall owners. Fresh wasabi is a luscious addition to raw fish and surprisingly so, I’ve rarely encountered it when having sushi-even here in Japan. The first thing Tomo bought on our tour was a piece of fresh wasabi which she grated on her personal wasabi grater and added to my tastings during our tour. This was a special ingredient others saw and wished they had! Tomo took great care of me and I felt like I was walking around the marketplace with a dear friend. I highly suggest this tour!
