This was our second tour with Heriberto. Our family of six came in spring 2025 and did Ek Balam with Heriberto. We returned this year (spring 2026) and did an all-day tour with him again—this time of Coba and two cenotes. It is nice having an early, but flexible, pickup time in the private van for our family. The two hour drive to Coba is a mix of quiet time and some information from Heriberto. We rode the bikes in Coba, which allowed us to visit places farther away than if we had walked. After 2.5 hours at Coba, we had lunch (just the six of us) at a restaurant in Tulum (on our own dime). He asked us what kind of food we preferred and recommended a restaurant. The unexpected highlight was the first cenote visit—swimming in clear water in a cavern. We were glad to have the waterproof flashlights the company provided, along with the snorkel equipment. Such a unique place. Then we did a second cenote about 15 minutes away from the cave. Casual swimming and a platform we could jump from about ten feet high. Plenty of cold water the whole trip in a cooler in the van. The private tour is a premium cost versus a group tour on buses, but worth it to have a customized experience.

We had an incredible private tour experience in Tulum with Irving. It was just my dad and I, which made the day feel really personal and relaxed from start to finish. Irving was amazing—he made sure we stayed hydrated in the heat and guided us on exactly what to bring for each stop, which made everything seamless. There was no rushing at any point, and we were able to truly take in both the ancient ruins and the cenotes at our own pace. His knowledge of the history and culture was impressive and added so much depth to the experience. Communication was consistent throughout the day, and we always felt safe and well taken care of. One of the highlights was when he recommended and showed us a local spot near our hotel—we had some of the best seafood tacos we’ve ever had. Overall, this was such a well thought-out and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend Irving if you’re looking for a more personalized and meaningful way to explore Tulum.

Irving was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Our family of 3 had a great early tour of Tulum ruins before the busy rush which was great. The cave cenote was beautiful to snorkel around and didn't feel rushed. Then the last open cenote had a diving platform that my my daughter loved jumping into the beautiful clear water from. Would recommend for sure. Perfect length tour as well...was back in time for a late lunch.

So happy that we chose the private tour - it was perfect and done at our pace. We weren’t staying at a hotel and needed a pick up from a condo which was no problem at all to arrange. Our tour guide/driver Heriberto was fantastic. He picked us up at 7am and got us to Tulum before the crowds. Heriberto gave us a guided tour telling us the history of Tulum and about the Mayan culture. It felt like we had the place to ourselves and got some great pictures. Taak Bi Ha cenote was our next stop and all I can say is Wow! The underground cave was amazing with so many areas to explore. We were provided snorkel gear and flashlights and given as much time as we wanted to explore. We lucked out that there weren’t many people there so we didn’t feel crowded. Then off to the Xunann Ha (Jaguar) cenote. A quiet place where you can jump straight in or take the easy way (ladder). An enjoyable place to swim and hang out. It was a bit overcast and cool so we didn’t stay as long as we would have if it had been hot and sunny. An overall fantastic day done at your own speed which is exactly wanted when booking a private tour. Would recommend and will do another private tour when we come back.

This experience was incredible! Our guide was so knowledgeable and attentive. We had the opportunity to visit the ruins and the cenotes feeling very safe and comfortable, at the best time of day, and to have some free time to explore.

Heriberto was a fantastic and experienced guide. He was very informative and showed so much enthusiasm for our tour and the history behind it. He was very calm and tolerant of our noisy children and gave us as much time as we needed during our cenotes tour. We arrived early at Tulum which was a big advantage before the crowds. Fully recommended!
