great experience with our guide, Sully. It was hot outside as expected but there were enough breaks/water to keep us going. I felt a bit sore the next day so would recommend not planning back to back excursions if you aren’t used to snorkeling. the cenote was definitely the highlight. the local made tacos were also amazing!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best day in Tulum, thanks to Nico! Nico was the perfect private guide: punctual, funny, and insanely knowledgeable. He got us to the Tulum Ruins, then took us snorkeling with sea turtles, fishes, and even baby squid in Akumal. We finished at a magical cenote with tons of history within it and crystal clear water. Clean van, cold drinks, plenty of snacks. Worth every penny. If you want the real Tulum experience without the crowds, book Nico. Already miss him and his team. 🐢🌮🌴 Gracias!!

Erik was such an awesome tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, personable, & able to read the energy of the room. He did a great job making everyone in our group feel comfortable. Snorkeling with the sea turtles was so fun. Swimming in the Cenotes was truly a wonderful experience, after the initial shock of the chilly water, but even I adjusted quickly to the temp. I would highly recommend this tour.

This was one of the best tours we’ve ever been on. Eric was a fantastic tour guide and Herman got us to each destination safely. We first went to Tulum, and Eric’s knowledge of the area and history of Mayan culture, buildings, and religion were entertaining and fascinating. After he guided us around Tulum, we had some free time to take pictures and take in the scenery. We then went to Tulum and swam with sea turtles and sting rays. But my favorite part of the trip was the cenote. It was beautiful, peaceful, and the water was so clear and clean. I HIGHLY recommend this package. We got picked up directly from our hotel in Cancun around 7 in the morning and were back around 4, so it’s a full day but well worth it!

Alma and Antonio were a supreme team! She gave us so much knowledge on the tour and Antonio provided a smooth ride for us. We were so impressed by Alma’s ability to translate between English and French for the couple that needed a French guide. She equally gave them the attention they needed as well as us- we did not feel second and I’m sure the other couple didn’t either. I would 100% book with Alma and Antonio specifically! Thank you 100x to Ocean Tours for hiring such great people.

Overall this was a good tour, not great. The van picked us up, it was rickety & noisy which made it difficult to hear the guide speak while in the vehicle. Our first stop was Tulum. After seeing Chichen Itza it was kindof underwhelming. It was very busy there & we ended up having a 2nd group join ours & we could again not hear our guide on the tour. We would have preferred to just break off & do our own self-guided tour. From there we went to Akumal to swim with the sea turtles - another very busy spot. It was so cool seeing the turtles in the sea, but while dodging a ton of other swimmers and with the water being ad cloudy as it was it was almost impossible to see them under water & we had better luck seeing them pop their heads above the surface. The highlight of this tour was certainly the Cenote, wow this was soooo cool! Everyone really seemed to enjoy this part of the tour, no complaints about it. I had previously done an open air cenote & really enjoyed this one being in a cave. If you are afraid of bats skip it. Water & snacks were offered on the tour. Tulum is quite strict about what you can bring into the park. A different guide took a lot of lovely photos of us at Akumel & in the cenote but like everything in Playa Del Carmen these can be purchased for a steep price. Unable to bring my phone for the swim with the turtles or in the cenote (recommend bringing a waterproof case or GoPro), I unfortunately don’t have any photos of us during those activities.

Had a great tour on November 20th with Claudia, German and Wendy! Brenda from NexusTours recommended it and I’m so glad I did it! Claudia was a great and knowledgeable guide throughout the tour and every stop from the Tulum ruins to snorkeling with sea turtles to exploring the cenote was worthwhile. German, the driver, got us to each stop safely and even spotted monkeys which he pulled over to let us take pictures of. There was enough time at each stop and 10 people on the tour which was a nice size. Wendy, the photographer, took amazing pictures of us and the sea animals we saw underwater, but we felt like the photo package for sale was a bit too pricey. My suggestion would be to offer a smaller photo package as well for half the price. For those interested in the tour, bring a t- shirt to wear under the life vest as this isn’t mentioned in the pre-trip information and would be helpful to prevent sunburns and potential chafing. Overall a great tour!

This tour exceeded our expectations. All the locations are close. Being able to snorkel only steps from the Tulum ruins was wonderful and also convenient. Raul, Lilly, and Ernesto made a fabulous team and I felt like we got the best guide/driver/photographer combination.
