A stunning display of turquoise from around the world! The museum owners were extremely engaging and informative. A must see if you're visiting Albuquerque or live in the Duke City and haven't yet availed yourself of this gem.

This is a family-run private museum with a world-renown collection of turquoise. The introductory video is very helpful. There is so much to learn at this museum and the displays are done beautifully. My friends and I found it fascinating, and the staff are very knowledgeable and easy to talk with.

did not expect such a variety of displays and history. Very well thought out. Could've spent 3-4 days there

Such an odd place. Not bad, just odd. Need to make a timed reservation. You enter and leave through the gift shop. Its a big house featuring a private collection of turquoise and turquoise jewelry from around the globe. All in all, I learned about turquoise and the manufacture of it for jewelry, but at the same time I feel like the museum is missing something as far as a takeaway. Also, I understand the lighting needs to be controlled because turquoise can be "bleached" by the sun, but the lighting could be better.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, but you have to be interested in history and gems to go. Would not be a place for little kids. Lots to read and stood for > 1h. The family and people who work there are very nice and knowledgeable.

We had some extra time during our visit to Albuquerque so we decided to visit the Turquoise Museum. And we are so glad we did! The introductory video was an excellent start to the tour. We loved wandering through all of the rooms and learning more and more about turquoise and viewing all of the stunning pieces. But the best part was signing up for the extra Lapidary and Silversmith demonstrations. Joe Dan is an excellent instructor and we really enjoyed the conversations that we had with him! And meeting Jacob and Kathy and chatting with them just added to the great experience! Wishing you all much success with your museum!! We highly recommend this Albuquerque museum!!
